This vintage Mont Blanc is a unique find. It doesn't have a traditional snow peak/star, but it does have a script engraving of "Monte Rosa" written on the cap with "Montblanc" printed in a sans serif font underneath it. It fills with a piston mechanism and writes a smooth medium line with a 14K nib. The only drawback is that a seal is leaking in the tail of the pen that only seems to leak when nib up in the pocket. Unfortunately, we do not know how to repair it. The pen shows extremely little wear, except for some brassing on the clip, and has a clear blue ink viewing window near the grip. Marked on the tail-twist filling mechanism is the number 042. 12.8cm capped.

A clever and patient person might be able coax a nearly complete Bordeaux-colored Mont Blanc out of these parts. The trick is that some of the threading snapped in half trapping the nib and section in the cap. Given the rarity of the parts available for unlicensed Mont Blanc repair people, these parts are a steal for anybody making the most of them.
