Gorgeous beyond the photo's ability to show, this clever brass inkwell disguises the ink supply under the woman's hair. There are no identifying marks other than "183" on the bottom of the piece. Given the general age of this inkwell, it is in remarkable condition with few significant dings, chips or faded paint. The small glass inner inkwell is without chips or cracks. The bronze measures W: 19.5cm L: 14cm H: 5cm. The glass inner well measures W: 3.7cm H: 3.3cm.

Era: 1910-1919
Price: $150.00
IB0002: : Nippon: Blotter

Remarkable in artistry and function, this nearly century-old ink blotter is hand-painted Japanese porcelain. The gold paint creates a beautiful trim and is filled in with many colorful flowers and florishes. It is stamped "Hand Painted Nippon" under the rocker part of the blotter, as seen in the second photo. This stamp was only used from about 1890 to 1920. No cracks, only a little fading of the gold paint on handle/knob. W: 10.6cm H: 8.5cm L: 6.5cm

Even more stunning in real life, this beautiful blue inkwell measures 5.5cm X 5.5cm X 5.5cm. It has no identifying marks, but we're reasonably sure it is pressed glass from the 1920s or '30s. The only significant damage is a little chip on the cap, which can be seen in the second photo.

Price: $39.00
0003: : Epenco: Epenco misc.

Dynamic grey swirls give this pen an extra dimension to its 10-sided barrel. There are no chips or cracks. The space around the lever is a little off, as you can see in the photo, but it works perfectly well. The gold plating has deteriorated off the nib, which writes a smooth, fine line. The sac has been replaced, and it's ready to write. 12.5 cm capped.
