Women have the classic little black dress. Fountain pen collectors have the classic black fountain pen, and Sheaffer made one of the best. This is the standard (not oversized) version of the pen. It features a fresh ink sac and original 14k gold nib and inkfeed. There is a hairline crack coming out of the 5 in the nib's serial number. This photo of the nib was taken with a magnifying lens, and we could not initially see the crack with our naked eyes. The nib writes a medium line. There is only marginal wear and brassing on the pen. 13.9cm capped.

Save a bundle on a full-sized Sheaffer Balance fountain pen with this fully restored beauty. Big and black, the pen writes a remarkable fine-medium line. It has a great 14k nib. It doesn't leak or have any issues other than a tell-tale sign of glue on the ribs of the feed. The cap has no cracks, but the clip and band feature some heavy corrosion. That's the only way you'd be able to get this pen for under $100! It is a great writer with only surface wear on the remainder of the vintage fountain pen. 14.2cm capped.

This is a new, old-stock Sheaffer pen and pencil set. It is a click ball pen, and you press in the clip to click in the pen refill and click it back out. Unused and unopened as far as we can tell. 13.5 cm.

Sheaffer Lifetime Crest Deluxe Tuckaway. The full name is longer than the pen! In unused, mint condition, this pen and pencil set comes with its original box and price stickers. Wavy lines decorate the gold-fill caps that contrast nicely with the blue barrels. The pencil is loaded with it's original lead. The two-tone, 14K nib has a fine point. We've polished off tarnish and old lubricant, replaced the O-ring and given the pen a fresh lube job. It's ready to write and in perfect working order. Pen measures 11.7 cm, and the pencil measures 10 cm.

Aside from the discoloration of the pen's body, this Sheaffer "junior" size Lifetime pen is in excellent condition. It has it's original 14K nib and feed that lay down a fine line. The clip is uniquely straight, showing minor brassing on the ball. The filling mechanism has been refurbished with a new sac and is ready for many more years worth of service. 11.5cm

This full-size green "Flattop" is in remarkable condition. No brassing, cracks or chips. It has a perfect imprint. There are a few very minor surface scratches, and the discoloration is obvious in the photo. The pocket clip is unusually straight, without the signature curve familiar to most Sheaffers of this era. The 14K, fine-medium nib and ink feed are original. A small "c" imprint in the flat tail of the barrel indicates that this was made between 1924 and 1926. "A.A. Brager" was engraved below the lever filler. The pen is fully restored. 13.3 cm capped.
