Vintage Pens: Esterbrook J-2668
Vintage Pens: 2058 Esterbrook J-2668
Words and photos really fail to capture the deep, sapphire blue of this Esterbrook J-model fountain pen. No cracks and only light wear, it is almost as if you will sink into the depths of this blue design. Even the strong imprint gets lost. We restored the pen with a new ink sac, and it is ready for use or display. Click the headline for close-ups. It comes with a steel 2668 nib that was originally advertised as being for "general writing." This one writes buttery smoothly for a wet fine line. J-models were also the widest of the Esterbrooks of the 1950s, which makes it less likely to cramp your hand as you write for extended periods of time. 12.7cm capped.
