Vintage Pens: Sheaffer Craftsman
Vintage Pens: 2228 Sheaffer Craftsman
The engineering geniuses at Sheaffer used pneumatics to fill the company's latest line of "TouchDown" pens in the late 1940s. This Sheaffer Craftsman is a very simple and easy to use vintage pen. We replaced the ink sac and O-ring. All you have to do is unscrew the blind cap in the tail and pull up on the filling tube. Completely submerge the nib in ink, and then you push down the tail filler and wait a second. Your pen is full, and you can tighten down the blind cap. This classic Canadian Sheaffer only has some light wear from use and looks great. The 14k gold nib writes a very nice medium line. Click the headline for a close-up. 13.3cm capped.
