Vintage Pens: No Name Yellow Cracked Ice
Vintage Pens: 2579 No Name Yellow Cracked Ice
Never eat yellow ice and snow, but it is okay to write with a yellow cracked ice vintage pen. No name or markings can be found on this pen other than the general design of the pocket clip, which we don't recognize. Esterbrook made the first "cracked ice" designs that we're aware of. This old fountain pen looks stunning. No actual cracks blemish it. Most of the gold plating is completely gone. We restored it with a new ink sac and replaced its broken nib with a stainless steel spare that fit perfectly. It writes a nice fine line with a little feedback. The clip is a bit loose. The side of the section has a little imprint marking from yesteryear. The very top and bottom of the pen have wear marks from what look like someone having spent a lot of time tapping them on table tops. 10.1cm capped.
