Vintage Pens: Parker Duofold
Vintage Pens: 2581 Parker Duofold
Parker revived the Duofold name in the 1930s to help boost sales as a higher grade pen in their lineup just below its flagship Vacumatic. Date coded in 1942, we have fully restored this Parker Duofold with a new diaphragm. Blue and grey striped, this is a demi-sized model. It has a strong imprint along with some light to moderate wear. No cracks. The 14k gold nib writes a smooth medium line. Brassing is only a minor issue. The blind cap on the tail is not 100% flush, but it isn't bad.
