Vintage Pens: 0100 Conklin Crescent
Filling Mechanism: Crescent Filler
Era: 1900-1909
Price: $599.99
Vintage Pens: 0100: Conklin: Crescent
Feast your eyes on a rare gold-filled Conklin Crescent. Fully restored, this vintage pen was clearly a daily user, as you can see chips missing in the gold fill. There also are some scratches and dents, but it still looks pretty nice when capped on display. No structural damage. Original nib and feed. No engravings. The #2 nib writes writes a fine-medium line with an odd combination of stiffness and flex. A small piece of black rubber placed to the right of the crescent was used to keep the pen from rolling over in the photo. 13.1cm capped.

Vintage Pens: 0099 Conklin Crescent
Filling Mechanism: Crescent Filler
Era: 1900-1909
Price: $249.99
Vintage Pens: 0099: Conklin: Crescent
If Mark Twain approved of them, they had to be good. It might not be the largest vintage Conklin Crescent we've seen, but it measures 13.8cm or nearly 5 1/2 inches when capped. A near daily user, the chasing in the hard rubber is worn, as are some of the imprints. We use question marks to fill in the gaps of the following: "Conklin Crescent-Filler / Toledo, Ohio, U.S.A. / Pat. M?.91-Oct?9:01.Dec.1'03 / Trade ? Mark 30" and there appears to be an "E" imprinted vertically under the horizontally written "Trade" There is one small crack on each side of the section where the nib enters. The barrel is cracked at the threads. You can see a small crack in the bottom side of the gold nib on the secondary photo. It is just sprouting out from under the section. The #3 nib writes a nice fine-medium line with a little flex. A new ink sac has been installed. The aftermarket clip has a faint imprint remaining: "Modern / B Pat / 5.25.09 / 6.22.09".
