This vintage Mont Blanc is a unique find. It doesn’t have a traditional snow peak/star, but it does have a script engraving of “Monte Rosa” written on the cap with “Montblanc” printed in a sans serif font underneath it. It fills with a piston mechanism and writes a smooth medium line with a 14K nib. The only drawback is that a seal is leaking in the tail of the pen that only seems to leak when nib up in the pocket. Unfortunately, we do not know how to repair it. The pen shows extremely little wear, except for some brassing on the clip, and has a clear blue ink viewing window near the grip. Marked on the tail-twist filling mechanism is the number 042. 12.8cm capped.

Complete with its original box and papers, this Visconti Ragtime is the first edition from the 1990s, not the current reissue. This spectacular writing instrument is comprised of unique, elegant, three-dimensional slate blue and black herringbone celluloid. Crowning the cap is a .925 sterling silver coin, simulating the nose of one of her aircraft. In the center of the coin is a piece of fabric from Amelia Earhart’s actual Lockheed Vega 5B wing. The clip is .925 sterling silver and is as streamlined as the wings of her planes. Around the center of the barrel is a .925 sterling silver band with her signature deeply engraved. The sterling silver blind cap has one of her most famous quotes encircling it, which reads, “Courage is the price that life exacts for granting peace.” A Limited Edition pen #31 of 388 sterling Fountain Pens.
