Pre-Owned Pens: 0582: Allegory: Precision Collection--Dark
Own a functional piece of history when you purchase an Allegory fountain pen. The Precision Collection of fountain pens features a handsome modern design that uses reclaimed wood. The light-colored wood comes from antique maple saved from old, torn down American barns and warehouses. The dark wood is Jakarta, a wood salvaged from Asian shipping crates after making the long voyage across the Pacific. Each pen is hand turned and cleverly designed. The cap stands out as it is magnitized to the front and tail of the pen. The pocket clip is on a hinge that helps protect from heavy pocket use. The nibs are medium-point only, and they write very smoothly with German steel. The pens fill using standard international cartridges or a converter, which is included. The pens are made in the U.S.A., just outside of Chicago. Allegory pens feature the National Forest Foundation seal of approval, and each sale contributes to the company's commitment to planting trees in the U.S. 13.5cm capped.

Pre-Owned Pens: 0580 Allegory The Dignitary
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present
Price: $114.99  Was: $124.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 0580: Allegory: The Dignitary
Write with divine inspiration using a pen that has more than roots in Bethlehem 2,000 years ago. The Allegory Dignitary fountain pen is made of rare but sustainably harvested Bethlehem Olivewood that dates back to a time that saw Roman conquest and Biblical events. The dark wood inlay is even older bog oak from England and Ireland from between 3,500 to 5,000 years ago. Together each is hand turned to make a unique brand new pen with gunmetal and gold plate accents. These pens only come with medium point nibs that are very smooth writers from Germany. The rest of the pens are crafted just outside Chicago. The caps ingeniously screw on to the tail to prevent damage and wear from posting. Each Allegory Dignitary uses standard international cartridges and comes with a converter. 13.2cm capped.

Pre-Owned Pens: 0579 Allegory The Bard
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present
Price: $124.99  Was: $134.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 0579: Allegory: The Bard
Few pens can call William Shakespeare a young pup, but Allegory's The Bard is roughly 52,000 years old. Okay, not the whole thing, but the light colored wood is from a forest of 2,000-year-old Kauri trees felled 50,000 years ago in New Zealand! Preserved in bogs for millennia, this wood is the primary wood for this brand new fountain pen. The beautiful orangy accent wood comes from reclaimed Midnight Sinker Cypress found on eastern American river beds where they had sunk enroute to a timber mill in the early 1800s. Each pen is hand turned and unique. Each also only comes with smooth-writing, medium-point gold-plated steel nibs. The pens use standard international cartridges and come with a converter. Caps screw on to the tail piece to prevent wear and tear. 12.9cm capped.

Inkwells and Blotters: IB0021: Cross: Pen Case
No matter what we do to the photo, we can't make this pen case look not light-blue. It is actually what Cross calls periwinkle. It is darker and more purple than the image shows. Nevertheless, it is a fine leather pen case that holds one pen as large as a Cross Apogee. It has two snaps to keep the case closed and your pen nice and safe. 2 inches wide and 6 3/4 inches long.
