Vintage Pens: 1032 Penol Ambassador Deluxe
Filling Mechanism: Button Filler
Era: 1930-1939
Price: $144.99
Vintage Pens: 1032: Penol: Ambassador Deluxe
Penol was created by Christian Olsen who helped develop Parker pens in Denmark. This Penol Ambassador Senior was the largest of the line, which was sold during the 1940s. It uses a button-filler just like the Duofold. You can see a strong Penol imprint on the barrel, but the "Ambassador" is a bit faded. Light wear adds character to the pen, but there are no chips, cracks or dents. We polished up the cap bands, but there is heavy brassing, with more on the slightly loose clip. The jewel is a little off kilter, but the blue ring of enamel surrounding it is still intact. We are selling this pen for a friend and aren't sure when it was last sac'ed, but it fills easily without any problems. The original Penol Deluxe nib writes a smooth fine line. If you click the headline you can see it isn't marked as gold, and the stamped areas seem to show steel...which isn't surprising given these pens were first made during Nazi occupation. A unique piece for your collection. 13.1cm capped.

Brand new pen that my wife bought for me while she was in Switzerland. I use fine and extra fine nibs, and this is a medium nib, so my loss is your gain!

Pre-Owned Pens: 1793: Caran d’Ache: G (Marbled Green)
They say that the pen is mightier than the sword. If that is true, just imagine how mighty you will be wielding a pen with a sword clip! Green marbling makes this Caran d'Ache fountain pen look incredibly handsome. Solidly built and nicely weighted, you write with a pen of substance. Click the headline font for closeups, as you can see a little white chip in the lacquer finish near the tail of the barrel. Other than that, we don't think this pen has ever been used. Its converter is clean, and the box and papers are complete. The nib is a really nice broad 18k gold. 13.7cm capped.

Vintage Pens: 0570 No Name Pencil
Filling Mechanism: Pencil
Era: 1930-1939
Price: $25.00
Vintage Pens: 0570: No Name: Pencil
Sometimes you just have to stop and smell the roses...or in our case, appreciate a damned handsome pencil. This lapis blue pencil likely came from the late 1920s or early 1930s. The two golden bands and golden nose cone contrast perfectly with the blue. It has wear from use but no cracks. The lead spindle moves up and down with ease, although there is no lead in it. It is just a pretty little ringtop pencil we thought someone might want to give a good home. 10.2cm.
Pre-Owned Pens: 1656 Rotring Newton Lava
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present
Price: $299.99
SOLD!
Pre-Owned Pens: 1656: Rotring: Newton Lava
Modern German industrial design and incredible quality are the hallmarks of the Rotring Newton Lava fountain pen. Looking similar to the Rotring 600, the Newton Lava is a very rare pen from the now defunct pen company. This one sports a medium steel nib that writes a buttery smooth line. The pens use standard international cartridges and converters. Ours comes with a converter and its original box and papers. The pen shows a little wear, especially in the area near the clip. The cap closes with a strong snap action. 14cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 1655 Rotring 600
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present
Price: $199.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 1655: Rotring: 600
Modern German industrial design and incredible quality are the hallmarks of the Rotring 600 fountain pen. These pen are masculine steel pens with a bit of heft. They also came in a variety of nib sizes. This one sports an extra-fine steel nib. It writes a fairly smooth, firm, wet medium line. The pens use standard international cartridges and converters. Ours comes with a converter and its original box and papers. The pen shows a little wear, especially along the edges of the hexagonal design. The cap closes well enough, but the snap mechanism is not as strong as it once was. Not recommended for active pockets or brief cases/purses. 14cm capped.
