Vintage Pens: 1732 Sheaffer PFM V
Filling Mechanism: Snorkel
Era: 1950-1959
Price: $499.99
Vintage Pens: 1732: Sheaffer: PFM V
Few Sheaffer pens are as desired as much as the Sheaffer PFM series. Ours is a Sheaffer PFM V. This is the pinnacle of the PFM (Pen for Men) line, as it has a gold-plated cap and tail piece. Ours is in very good to excellent condition. You can see a little wear on the cap and barrel, but there are no egregious dents, cracks or deep scratches. The metal surfaces have light surface scratches from careful daily use. The snorkel filling system is in great working condition. We don't know when it was last restored, but the pen works perfectly. The inlaid 14k gold nib writes an extra-fine line. It is very firm but very reasonable with which to write. There can be a little feedback at some angles, but nothing extra-fine lovers haven't come to expect. The wide body is so nice for gripping without cramping. 13.5cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 1519 Sheaffer Taranis
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present
Price: $74.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 1519: Sheaffer: Taranis
Sheaffer broke with its more traditional designs when it created the Sheaffer Taranis fountain pen. From its partially hidden nib to its elongated clip, Sheaffer set out to be unique, while maintaining its long-held grip on quality. This gently used pen is in excellent physical condition with very little noticeable trace of wear. The color design was known as "White Lightning." The trip is gold plated. The gold-plated nib writes a smooth fine line. We installed a converter in the pen, which also uses Sheaffer ink cartridges. It comes with its original inner and outer boxes. The pad of the inner box has some yellow and grey staining from some spilled ink we attempted to clean out. Sorry, no other papers. 13.9cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 1075 Sheaffer Crest
Filling Mechanism: Snorkel
Era: 1950-1959
Price: $125.00
Vintage Pens: 1075: Sheaffer: Crest
Sheaffer Crest fountain pens are easily identified by their gold-filled caps on normal Sheaffer Snorkel pens. This vintage pen sports a nice pastel green barrel. We have fully restored it with a new ink sac, O-ring and snorkel gasket. The snorkel itself is a rare 14k gold tube. Just wait until you with the pen. Its two-tone 14k gold nib writes a super smooth medium line. There's only a little wear an light scratching on the body. The cap is free of scratches and dents, except directly under the clip, which is a little off kilter. Filing it under "Nobody's Perfect," the skirted nib has a little seepage where the gold meets the plastic. We have tried sealing it with rubber cement to no avail. It will seep. As it is a great writer, be sure just not to hold it that low, and you'll be fine. When full, keep it nib up when not in use, and that will also minimize seepage. 14cm capped.

Era: 1950-1959
Price: $124.99
Vintage Pens: 1248: Sheaffer: TM-Triumph
All engravings aside, this rare Sheaffer Touchdown TM Triumph has been one of our favorite finds of late. It looks like it did when it left the store more than 60 years ago. We replaced the ink sac and O-ring. The clip is on tight. There is no wear on the gold-filled pen. It is engraved on the barrel with the name of "Louis Schaaf." The cap is engraved "10 Years / Tension Env Corp". The two-tone conical Triumph nib is 14k gold and writes a firm fine line. Click the headline font to see a close up. A small patch of gold shines through the palladium plate on the bottom tine of the photo. 13.5cm capped.
