Pre-Owned Pens: 4959: Pelikan: Souverän K800
Pelikan makes some of our favorite luxury pens on the market today. Our Pelikan Souverän K800 looks to be in near mint condition. We love its iconic green stripes on the tail cap. Twist it to advance or retract the working blue Parker-style ballpoint refill. This larger model is a little easier to grip and is nicely weighted. The golden logo on the top of the pen has a black mama pelican and two chicks. 13.8cm.
Pencil: 5012 Sheaffer Sentinel
Filling Mechanism: Pencil
Era: 1950-1959
Price: $49.99
Pencil: 5012: Sheaffer: Sentinel
Matching its pencil lines to its TouchDown-filling fountain pens, this vintage pencil was released as the Sheaffer Sentinel pencil. A two-tone chrome and gold cap contrasts beautifully against a dark green barrel. Minimal wear mars the surfaces of this classic pencil. A twist of the tail cap smoothly advances and retracts the .9mm lead. Cooler still is that this pencil is loaded with a red lead! Remove the cap to reveal a hardened original blue Sheaffer eraser. 12.9cm.
Pencil: 5010 Parker Non-Stop (Vacumatic)
Filling Mechanism: Pencil
Era: 1940-1949
Price: $149.99
Pencil: 5010: Parker: Non-Stop (Vacumatic)
Parker Vacumatic pencils sold far less than their fountain pen counterparts, which Parker chalked up to the Great Depression. Nevertheless, Parker didn't stop innovating the Parker Vacumatic line. In 1939 it released the Parker Non-Stop pencil to pair with Vacumatic fountain pens. Unique to the Non-Stop was that it was a cap-activated click pencil! This was not a common feature in that era. Plus, the .9mm leads now fed directly from the spare lead reservoir. As such, these pencils held much more lead and required way less effort to keep writing. Our vintage pencil has a couple of deep scratches, which you can see in the tail cap in the photo. Especially unique is the wide stacked-coins cap band, which has a blank initials' plate. A hardened eraser and spare red leads are included. 13.1mm.
Pencil: 5007 Sheaffer Balance 300
Filling Mechanism: Pencil
Era: 1930-1939
Price: $49.99
Pencil: 5007: Sheaffer: Balance 300
Long and slender, our Sheaffer Balance 300 pencil is a beauty in striated grey pearl. Except for a nick on the cap band, the nickel plating is nearly perfect. Smoothly twist the tail cap to extend or retract the .9mm lead. There's a nice, clean imprint on the tail cap. Under the tail cap you will discover a semi-functional eraser and a couple spare leads. 13.4cm.
Pencil: 5005 Sheaffer Balance 250
Filling Mechanism: Pencil
Era: 1930-1939
Price: $29.99
Pencil: 5005: Sheaffer: Balance 250
Striated Carmine is one of the rarest colors of this era in Sheaffer production. Our Sheaffer Balance 250 is a great vintage pencil still in good working order. The 250 imprinted on the barrel meant that it cost $2.50 when it was brand new. Its celluloid is worn from use, but there are no cracks. Its gold plated trim only shows a hint of brassing on the ball of the pocket clip. You fill this pencil with .9mm leads, and it comes with a few spares. The eraser is long gone. Advance and retract the lead with a twist of the tail cap. 12.2cm.
Pencil: 4999 Cross Mini Pencils
Filling Mechanism: Pencil
Era: 1960-1979
Price: $99.99  Was: $149.99
Pencil: 4999: Cross: Mini Pencils
We don't know the first thing about this brace of Cross mini pencils. They are very skinny and just about as wide as a tie clip pencil, but they don't have tie clips. The front writing instrument is made of solid sterling silver. It has some dents in the nose cone but it seems to work well. You twist the nose cone to advance or retract the lead that we think is .9mm. Its matching pencil is "1/30 10k Gold RGP." We think that mean Rolled Gold Plating. It works well, too, and there is much less damage or wear to the RGP pencil. Both measure 8.8cm.

Filling Mechanism: Ballpoint
Era: 1980-present
Price: $99.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 4926: Pelikan: Souverän K205
Why do fountain pen fans get to have all the fun with demonstrator pens? Not any more! Here's a translucent green Pelikan Souverän K200 ballpoint demonstrator pen. You can see the click-action in action. Only light wear from use mars this excellent specimen. We especially like the platinum-plated trim. Included with the pen is a working black Parker-style refill. The tiny logo on the clicker is a black field with a silvery mama pelican with a single chick. 13.5cm.
Pencil: 4907 Parker Duofold
Filling Mechanism: Pencil
Era: 1920-1929
Price: $199.99
Pencil: 4907: Parker: Duofold
Mandarin yellow Parker Duofold pens get all the credit for being rare and sought after, but the matching pencils are even rarer...especially the streamlined models, such as this one. Our junior-sized pencil is in good working order, showing only light wear from use. No brassing and a good imprint on the tail cap. Carefully remove the tail cap to reveal an original hardened eraser and spare 1.1mm leads underneath it! Make math and crosswords fun again with this amazing vintage pencil. 12.1cm.
