Out of the late nineteen-teens or early 1920s comes roaring a beautiful silver Mabie Todd fountain pen. The barrel and cap are in amazingly good condition. A few little dimples and abrasions are present, but none are especially egregious. The filling system has been fully restored. The fine-point 14K gold nib and feed appear to be original. "C.A. Webster" is engraved on the barrel. The clip is imprinted with "Patent / Jan 19 / 1915." Faintly imprinted on the tail of the barrel is "Mabie Todd & Co. New York / Silver - Made in U.S.A." 13.2cm capped.

Set your gaze upon a rare vintage Mabie Todd SM200/60 that is in absolute mint condition and looking factory fresh. The chasing is perfectly unworn. The lever filler is made of hard rubber like the rest of the pen and 100% intact. There is no chocolating or hazing! The only significant blemish is a little brassing on the clip ball. This pen has been fully restored and is ready to write, for those bold enough to want to make it a daily user. The imprints are strong and include: a swan image on top of the cap, "Swan" M2 on the section, the tail reads SM 200/60, and the center of the barrel reads Swan self-filler / Mabie Todd & Co. LTD / Made in England. There also is an image of a swan with "Trade Mark" written below it. 12.5cm capped.

It is difficult to find gold-fill vintage pens as in good a finish as this Mabie Todd. There are a couple light scratches on the cap and one tiny dimple near the tail, but that's it, unless you're the type who disapproves of the "N.J.P." engraved on the barrel. Stamped just below the section on the barrel is " 'Swan Pen' Mabie Todd & Co New York / Made in U.S.A. / 14K Gold Filled". The nib photo is grossly magnified, making the gap in the tines look humungous. The gold nib writes a beautiful broad line. Original inkfeed. Resacced and ready to write. 12.8cm capped.

The pocket clip states 1915, but this pen was most likely made in the 1920s. The black rubber's chasing is nearly perfect, although it is a little worn near the tail. It has some "chocolating," as you can see but the imprint on the barrel is still very strong, reading " 'Swan' Self-Filling Pen / Mabie.Todd & Co. New York / Pats.Jan.26.04.May.21.18.Pat.Pd3". The 3 is a little faded. There also is an image of a swan, with what might be faded imprinting below it. What we love most are the instructions imprinted on the pen with "Posting" written on the tail and "Screw Cap Tightly" and an arrow pointing left on the top of the cap. A slightly faded "5 S F." is written on the flat of the tail. The size 3 gold nib is pretty easy to read in the photo, and a short hairline crack has sprouted from the breather hole. It writes an extra-fine line. Original inkfeed. This vintage fountain pen is fully restored. 13.8cm capped.
