Pre-Owned Pens: 1655 Rotring 600
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present
Price: $199.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 1655: Rotring: 600
Modern German industrial design and incredible quality are the hallmarks of the Rotring 600 fountain pen. These pen are masculine steel pens with a bit of heft. They also came in a variety of nib sizes. This one sports an extra-fine steel nib. It writes a fairly smooth, firm, wet medium line. The pens use standard international cartridges and converters. Ours comes with a converter and its original box and papers. The pen shows a little wear, especially along the edges of the hexagonal design. The cap closes well enough, but the snap mechanism is not as strong as it once was. Not recommended for active pockets or brief cases/purses. 14cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 1609 Mont Blanc Alexandre Dumas Writers Series
Filling Mechanism: Ballpoint
Era: 1980-present
Price: $560.00  Was: $699.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 1609: Mont Blanc: Alexandre Dumas Writers Series
There is nothing like a huge mistake on a grand scale. Take the exquisitely beautiful Mont Blanc Writers Series Alexandre Dumas ballpoint. This is the early model with the WRONG signature. This is his son's signature. (We bet Cardinal Richelieu was behind this plot.) Mont Blanc recalled these shortly after their release, but clearly some are still available. Ours is in excellent condition, as we doubt it was ever used in rotation. The refill still works well. It comes complete with its original boxes and papers. Guaranteed Authentic.
Pre-Owned Pens: 1659 Pelikan 100-level
Filling Mechanism: Piston Filler
Era: 1980-present
Price: $111.00
Pre-Owned Pens: 1659: Pelikan: 100-level
Pelikan pens are as true as they get these days. This is a Pelikan 100 trim line, but we aren't specifically sure what its model number is. The cap and barrel have scuffs and wear but no cracks. The filler is well lubed and working very smoothly. The platting is coming off the steel nib, which writes a buttery smooth fine line. The top of the cap has the logo in gold with two baby pelicans. In addition to the pen, you a very nice leather case for the pen. The case is decorated with a flowered bit of embroidery. You can see in the photo that the stitching is missing at the far left side. 11.8cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 1578 Parker Sonnet
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present
Price: $69.99  Was: $75.00
Pre-Owned Pens: 1578: Parker: Sonnet
Now here's a Parker Sonnet you don't see every day. The preowned luxury pen seems to be sporting some kind of crystal in the clip. We have no idea how real it is, but it is a very nice complement to the gold-plated pen. It uses a modern Parker converter or cartridge, but it comes with neither. The golden alloy nib writes a decent medium line with a little flex. The pen has minimal wear, only light scratches--no dents. Both black end jewels are in place. Very attractive. 13.3cm capped.

Nibsmith Richard Binder adjusted the preferred 14k gold nib that writes a smooth medium line. The piston-filling system is in great condition. The green ink-viewing window is still clear to let you know how much ink you have left. Minimal wear. No cracks or significant blemishes. 12.5cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 0984 Waterman Edson
Filling Mechanism: Ballpoint
Era: 1980-present
Price: $399.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 0984: Waterman: Edson
Commanding attention is what the Waterman Edson ballpoint pen does best! It's regal translucent blue barrel and golden twist cap and trim will turn heads, but it is luxury pen's performance that will hold your attention rapt. Its weight and girth are easy to maneuver while gliding the ballpoint ink along the page with a momentum uniquely its own. Waterman is extremely proud of this premier flagship design, and so are we. There is only light wear to the barrel and cap, although some folks might not like the light but obvious scratches to the golden tail cap. These scratches aren't deep, but they plow through the "frosted" gold design. We still think it is an excellent pen. Comes loaded with a working Waterman ballpoint refill. 14.6cm.
Pre-Owned Pens: 1519 Sheaffer Taranis
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present
Price: $74.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 1519: Sheaffer: Taranis
Sheaffer broke with its more traditional designs when it created the Sheaffer Taranis fountain pen. From its partially hidden nib to its elongated clip, Sheaffer set out to be unique, while maintaining its long-held grip on quality. This gently used pen is in excellent physical condition with very little noticeable trace of wear. The color design was known as "White Lightning." The trip is gold plated. The gold-plated nib writes a smooth fine line. We installed a converter in the pen, which also uses Sheaffer ink cartridges. It comes with its original inner and outer boxes. The pad of the inner box has some yellow and grey staining from some spilled ink we attempted to clean out. Sorry, no other papers. 13.9cm capped.
