Era: 1980-present
Price: $174.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2234: Bexley: Gemstone Collection Sapphire
Believe it or not, Bexley pens is about to turn 25! This Bexley Gemstone Sapphire rollerball pen is a stunner. Borrowing heavily from the beautiful but ill-fated Waterman 100 Year Pen design, this modern classic is holding up much better. Not a true rollerball, it is a capped pen that presently writes with a Parker-style gel refill! The brilliant-blue finish shines through some light wear. 13.8cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 2233 Sheaffer Balance Millennium
Filling Mechanism: Ballpoint
Era: 1980-present
Price: $124.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2233: Sheaffer: Balance Millennium
Sheaffer produced a beautiful limited edition series of pens as we entered the new millennium. Inspired by their greatest pens of the 1920s and '30s, this ballpoint Sheaffer Balance Millennium sports a fantastic blue marble cap and barrel that recreate the shape of the 1920s' Sheaffer Lifetime torpedo pens. Actually made in the U.S.A., this pen is in like-new condition. The twist action of the ballpoint mechanism works perfectly, and the ballpoint refill works well, although we have no idea how much ink is left. 14cm.
Pre-Owned Pens: 2232 Sheaffer Fountain Pen
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present
Price: $39.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2232: Sheaffer: Fountain Pen
All but overlooked on the modern pen scene, Sheaffer still makes a good pen. Long since removed from the Sheaffer family, the company's engineers still design a quality writing instrument. This modern Sheaffer looks like a little brother to the Prelude model, it fills using either a Sheaffer Converter or Cartridge. Althought, it doesn't come with any, it does come in its original box in like-new condition. The steel nib is marked medium and writes a smooth fine-medium on a dip. Minimal wear on the pen. The box has a layer missing on the back where a sticker had been pulled off. 13.8cm capped.

Pre-Owned Pens: 2227: Portofino: Walker Classic
They say beauty is only skin deep, and for as stunning as this set of Portofino Walker Classics look, they are a little troublesome. We squeezed in a Pilot G2 refill cartridge in the capped rollerball pen, and it seems to work well enough...although the refill has a bit of play for our taste. The ballpoint uses Parker style refills, and has some film on the cone where it meets the barrel. The Parker Gel refill seems to work well. The radiance of the pens is stunning. Very wear free.
Pre-Owned Pens: 2220 Sheaffer Pre-Connaisseur
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present
Price: $59.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2220: Sheaffer: Pre-Connaisseur
We initially misrepresented this pen as a Sheaffer Connaisseur. In truth, we learned that it came out a little ahead of the Connaisseur. Using a 1920s black hard rubber design, Sheaffer created a great new pen fitted to use a modern Sheaffer cartridge or converter. It comes complete with an older squeeze bar converter, but you can use modern piston-drive converters. These were not made out of chased black hard rubber, but they look like it. The pen has only minimal wear. The 14k gold nib writes a very nice medium line. 13.2cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 2117 Parker Unknown
Filling Mechanism: Pencil
Era: 1980-present
Price: $19.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2117: Parker: Unknown
Tiny blue flecks sparkle against the grey-and-chrome body of this modern Parker pencil. We think it is .7mm, but we aren't 100% sure. It comes with a couple extra leads, but the eraser seems stuck in the clicker button that comes off so that you can refill the pencil. Original box but no papers. Great condition, light wear. 14.1cm
