Vintage Pens: Esterbrook LJ-9450
Vintage Pens: 2264 Esterbrook LJ-9450
The #1 choice of high schools and stenographers' schools in the 1950s was the Esterbrook fountain pen. Easy to customize and use, while still being affordable, it effectively taught the Baby Boomer generation how to write with a fountain pen. This red Esterbrook LJ looks like a freshly licked strawberry lollipop, with seemingly undulating layers below the surface. Its color still radiates despite light surface wear. No cracks. Clean imprint. The only noticeable mark is a spot of discoloration on the underside of the section. Made in Canada! We replaced the ink sac while restoring it. The 9450 steel nib is considered a top upgrade nib that smoothly writes an extra-fine "posting" line. 12cm capped.
