Vintage Pens: Parker 51
Vintage Pens: 2601 Parker 51
Revolutionizing pen technology, Parker 51 fountain pens were named to acknowledge that they are "10 years ahead of their time." This vintage pen is dated coded 2nd quarter of 1943. We restored it with a fresh diaphragm that fills the barrel with ink. It is a "cedar blue" pen. It has moderate wear on the barrel, which includes some scratches but no cracks. Its 1/10th 16k gold-filled cap is pretty nice with only a few tiny little marks and dimples. We gave the nib assembly a sonic cleaning to clear out the old ink. Its 14k gold nib writes a very nice extra-fine line. 13.8cm capped.
