Vintage Pens: Gold Bond Fountain Pen
Vintage Pens: 3168 Gold Bond Fountain Pen
As the 1920s roared along in Chicago, this junior sized Gold Bond fountain pen was born. A handsome black-and-pearl design, it has been fully restored with a new ink sac. Its discoloration is obvious, but there are no cracks and only a little brassing. Its Warranted 14k gold nib is either a size 2 or 3. It writes a nice wet, medium line fairly smoothly. Gold Bond Pens were not related to the foot powder. They were a sub-brand of the National Pen Company, which was based in Chicago. 11cm capped.
