Vintage Pens: 3209 Moore #83
Moore pens of Boston are too frequently overlooked by modern pen collectors. This black-and-bronze marbled design handsomely hails from the late 1920s or early '30s. The celluloid still glitters in the light. We restored this pen with a new ink sac, and it is in excellent working order. It has no cracks, but you will see some wear, along with some brassing on the ball of the pocket clip and a little on the "bound-edge" cap band. Nibs are the heart and soul of any pen, and this one is a fairly uncommon replacement nib from Weidlich in Cincinnati, Ohio! You'll write a delightful, genuine extra-fine line with it--but it also has a little flex. 11.5cm capped.
