Vintage Pens: Parker 51
Vintage Pens: 3387 Parker 51
In 1941, Parker released the 51 fountain pen...so named as it was 10 years ahead of its time. Not only was it 10 years ahead of its time, it remains one of the most beloved vintage pens today! This is an earlier model from the late 1940s. It has a handsome sterling silver cap with minimal traces of wear. The vacuum filler has been restored with a new diaphragm. The blue barrel and hood are in great shape, except for some visible wear around where the cap snugged against the hood and barrel. Its 14k gold nib writes a firm extra-fine line.
