Vintage Pens: Esterbrook LJ Icicle?
Vintage Pens: 3405 Esterbrook LJ Icicle?
What is it? We aren't sure. We are certain it is an Esterbrook, which is imprinted on the clip and barrel. However, it looks like a LJ...but it also looks like it came after the LJ series was done. It has an icicle-like pattern on cheaper plastic. We restored it with a new ink sac. Cosmetically, it only has light to moderate wear. HOWEVER, the threads on the barrel don't engage the cap. YET, the cap slips on snuggly. On the plus, side you get an upgraded 9555 nib, which was advertised as being for shorthand. It writes a very firm, smooth, extra-fine line. 13.1cm capped.
