Vintage Pens: Parker Duofold
Vintage Pens: 3437 Parker Duofold
Streamlined senior Parker Duofolds are in demand these days. There were fewer of them, and jade green ones that haven't totally discolored up the rareness ante. Not only does this one look good, it has been fully restored with a new ink sac. It sports both an original 14k gold nib AND a "Christmas Tree"/"Spear" inkfeed. The section is friction fit, not like the more prevalent screw-in versions. Click the headline for close-ups. You can even read the barrel imprint. The barrel is darker than the cap, which isn't evenly discolored. However, you can still very nice green, as this seems to be a later model. Its nib writes a sensuously smooth, wet medium line. No cracks, no brassing. Light wear from use. 13.1cm capped.
