Vintage Pens: Sheaffer #3
Vintage Pens: 3438 Sheaffer #3
Sheaffer was rocking the pen world in the 1920s with writing instruments such as this Sheaffer #3. Will you like the gold-filled sleeve with an art deco design or the flexi #3 14k gold nib better? Either way the pen has been fully restored with a new ink sac. No initials engraved, but it has a couple nasty little dents in the cap, which you can see better when you click the headline for a close-up photo. The rest of the pen is nearly minty fresh. Only a couple teeny tiny bits of brassing on the clip and lever. Its nib writes a genuinely flexi...nearly wet noodle...line from fine to 1.5mm. We especially get a kick out of the "Sheaffer-Clip" clip and "Self-Filling" nib. 13.5cm capped.
