Vintage Pens: Parker Duofold

Vintage Pens: 3871 Parker Duofold
Era: 1920-1929
Price: $299.99
Rare squared is what we are calling this mandarin yellow Parker Duofold desk pen with the carved fish base! Mandarin yellow Parker Duofolds are the most sought-after color because they are A.) handsome and B.) much rarer as the yellow material cracked and broke easily over the years. After nearly 100 years, the surviving yellow pens tend to be troupers, but they are difficult to find. Plus, this wooden, carved desk base wasn't exactly common. The vintage pen has been restored with a new ink sac. You'll see it has both its original Christmas tree inkfeed and 14k gold nib that writes a very firm, wet extra-fine line. Some folks might say it has feedback, but you're really just feeling the paper under the nib. The pen and taper have wear from age and use, but there are no cracks or engravings. A very handsome set. 18.5cm pen from nib tip to tip of taper.
