Vintage Pens: 4038 Mabie Todd (Swan) 2060
Fountain Pen Nib Size: SF
Twist and shout with an actual working twist-filling Mabie-Todd Swan 2060 fountain pen. An impressive pen, sleek and oversized, it features the rare twist filler. Basically, all you do is twist the blind cap on the tail a half turn or so to squeeze the ink sac and replace it to its normal position, which fills the pen. We've never restored one before, and we were excited to find this one still working. It is from a dedicated vintage pen collector, so the new sac was likely put in within the last 5 or 10 years. There's a lot of brassing on the cap bands and some wear on the pen, including some chocolate hazing of the section. However, the pen looks pretty good overall. Most people will likely geek out over the #6 Swan 14k gold nib that writes a smooth, dry medium line but stiffly flexes to a juicy 1mm line. 14cm capped.
