Era: 1950-1959
Price: $299.99
Vintage Pens: 2806: Parker: Jotter
Ballpoint pens weren't invented in 1954, but that was the year they were finally perfected. Parker Jotter ballpoint pens were released that year to great fanfare. Cap-free and clickable, the most important part of this pen was its long-lasting, convenient refill. How successful was it? That refill and the Parker Jotter are still being made today! More than that, most major pen manufacturers have adopted the Parker ballpoint refill for their own pens! Our first-year Parker Jotter comes in one of the rarest colors: marine blue. Closer to turquoise, marine blue was the name Parker gave the color. Its barrel is ribbed and the inverted "V" clip are hallmarks of all first-year pens. There are no cracks, but there is a little wear from use. The refill is fairly recent and working. 12.7cm.

The pen has just enough weight to give your fingers a little momentum once you start scribbling away. It uses Parker-style refills, and comes preloaded with one...although we have no idea how much ink is left. It has only the lightest of wear, and no one will see it as you sit across from them. The refill advances and retreats with a twist of the tail cap. 13.4cm.

Pre-Owned Pens: 2001 Mont Blanc Georg Solti Limited Edition
Filling Mechanism: Ballpoint
Era: 1980-present
Price: $699.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2001: Mont Blanc: Georg Solti Limited Edition
One of the greatest conductors of the 20th century, Sir Georg Solti dazzled orchestra lovers all over the world. Born in Budapest, Solti would direct the orchestras of Munich, Frankfurt, Vienna, London and Chicago, where he spent the last 20 years of his career. (Hey, we got a little hometown pride in that sorta thing.) Mont Blanc made the limited edition Georg Solti pen as part of its Donations Series, using part of the proceeds to help youth music programs. This luxury pen appears to be like-new and never used. It comes complete with its huge box, booklets and a playing cards for Solti's favorite pastime: bridge. The cards are unopened. The only flaw with any part of the set is that two of the box lid corners are torn. Unfortunately, the box was far too large to show completely in the photo.
Pre-Owned Pens: 0984 Waterman Edson
Filling Mechanism: Ballpoint
Era: 1980-present
Price: $399.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 0984: Waterman: Edson
Commanding attention is what the Waterman Edson ballpoint pen does best! It's regal translucent blue barrel and golden twist cap and trim will turn heads, but it is luxury pen's performance that will hold your attention rapt. Its weight and girth are easy to maneuver while gliding the ballpoint ink along the page with a momentum uniquely its own. Waterman is extremely proud of this premier flagship design, and so are we. There is only light wear to the barrel and cap, although some folks might not like the light but obvious scratches to the golden tail cap. These scratches aren't deep, but they plow through the "frosted" gold design. We still think it is an excellent pen. Comes loaded with a working Waterman ballpoint refill. 14.6cm.
