Vintage Pens: 2917 Carter’s 4125
Filling Mechanism: Lever Filler
Carter's Inx were a legendary ink manufacturer, and it branched out into fountain pen manufacturing in 1926. This is an early mottled orange hard rubber vintage pen. The flat tail end is marked 4125. It is a full-sized but not oversized fountain pen. There is very little wear on the pen, but the main barrel imprint is weak and there is some brassing on the cap bands and clip. The pen has been restored with a fresh ink sac. The original 14k gold nib writes a very nice fine line AND it is a semi-FLEX. It takes a little pressure to get it to flex, so it definitely isn't a wet noodle. No cracks. 13cm capped.
