Pre-Owned Pens: 2746: Pelikan: 200 Demonstrator
Demonstrator-style fountain pens are all the rage at the moment, and this Pelikan 200 Demonstrator in green is a great addition to your collection. If it was used, it was used sparingly. There are few indicators it has been inked. It was well flushed if it was. Minimal wear. Its piston operates very smoothly. The difference between a Pelikan 200 and 400 is the simple fact that the 200 has a golden alloy nib and a 400 has a solid gold nib. The sizes between the pens is identical. Ours comes with an alloy nib marked fine that writes a fine line. It writes smoothly without pressure, but if you add a little pressure you get a little feedback. The logo on the cap shows 2 chicks with the mama pelican. 12.3cm capped.

Pre-Owned Pens: 2749: Pelikan: Piazza Navona
If a trip to Rome isn't in the cards for you this year, bring Rome to your home. This Pelikan 620 limited edition fountain pen is better known as the Pelikan Piazza Navona, its colors reminiscent of the colors of the famed square. Although it doesn't come with its original box and papers, it does not appear to have ever been filled. The piston works beautifully, and when held to a light, it doesn't have any staining inside the pen. No cracks or scratches. It comes with its original two-tone 18c gold nib that is marked extra fine and writes a true extra fine with a little feedback. The cap logo features a mama pelican and only 1 chick. (The nib has 2 chicks.) 13.2cm capped.

Pre-Owned Pens: 2751: Pelikan: 620 New York
Assuming Pelikan thought that if they could make it in New York, they could make it anywhere, they created the limited edition city series 620 New York fountain pen. Looking nearly perfect, our Pelikan New York is ready for action or display...although it doesn't come with its original box. The piston is in great working order. The two-tone 14c gold nib is marked extra fine, and it writes a German extra-fine with a touch of feedback. (German nibs always write a little wider than Japanese nibs. And, what extra-fine doesn't have a touch of feedback. Damned few, that's for sure.) 13.1cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 2616 Pelikan 800 Souveran
Filling Mechanism: Piston Filler
Era: 1980-present
Price: $399.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2616: Pelikan: 800 Souveran
In our humble opinion, Pelikan consistently makes the best modern luxury pens today. This Pelikan 800 Souveran is extra special for several reasons. It is old enough to have been made in West Germany, and it has the much debated "P/F" nib! It is a two-tone 18c gold nib with "P/F" stamped in an oval on the right side of the nib. Some folks says this signifies nothing. Others say it means it was given flex. And additional people think it was some kind of stamp for French sold pens. No one seems 100% certain, but P/F's do seem more desirable among many Pelikan enthusiasts. Ours is in great working order, and the nib writes the fine line it as marked as having. However, you can make it flex to a broad. Definitely not a wet noodle, but semi-flex is fair to say. The topper and tail have a golden logo and disc. The logo includes 2 baby pelicans. Light overall wear but nothing that stands out. 13.9cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 2617 Pelikan 800 Souverän

Pre-Owned Pens: 2617: Pelikan: 800 Souverän
Are you familiar with the discussion about Pelikan "P/F" nibs? Pelikan 800 pens with P/F nibs are hot commodities right now. No one is 100% sure why these divided letters in an oval are imprinted on only a handful of Pelikan nibs. The most reasonable explanation we've heard had something to do with French tax laws. Anyhow, what people are really debating is whether these nibs are more flexi than other Pelikan nibs without the added letters. Click the headline, and you'll see the imprint on the bottom left of this two-tone 18k gold nib. To us it writes like a normal beautiful medium Pelikan 800 nib, but we see where some people might think there is a teeny, tiny amount of flex. The piston works perfectly smoothly, and the barrel looks great. The cap is crack free, but it has a couple scuffs and a name engraved on it. The company logo is a golden pelican with two babies on a black background. 14.1cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 2620 Pelikan Souveran
Filling Mechanism: Pencil
Era: 1980-present
Price: $99.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2620: Pelikan: Souveran
Pelikan Souveran writing instruments are some of the best in the world. This larger luxury pencil (600 size) is no exception. It works perfectly and has only light traces of wear. The tail cap twists to click-advance a .5mm lead. Under the tail cap is a used but still fresh eraser. The pencil is loaded with spare leads. We like the fact this pen is old enough to list its country of origin as "W. Germany." On the topper is a golden logo of a mother pelican with two babies. Its only real "flaw" seems to be that the cap feels as if it jiggles a little, even though it is on very securely. 14.1cm.

REVERSE TRIM! We've long lost track of all the requests we get for Pelikan fountain pens with reverse trim. (Platinum instead of gold). This gently used Pelikan M805 is black with platinum-plated trim. The piston filler in the tail works very well. The inkview window is green. The two-tone 18k gold nib writes a smooth medium line. Click the headline for a close-up. The top of the cap has a silver-grey mama pelican with two babies. It comes complete with its original box. The 800 is one size smaller than the oversided 1000 model Souveran. The 800 is best for larger hands. Large enough to keep your hands from cramping. 14cm capped.
