The original filling system is in complete working order. Even more interesting is the bonus accessory that Parker packaged with its Parker 45: a newpaper clipper. The Parker Jotter is one of the earliest click ballpoint pens and one of the longest continuously produced pens in history. This early Jotter set is still in full working order and in nearly perfect condition. The steel and olive combination makes for a handsome set. We aren't 100% certain this set is from the '60s, but it does have the brass lining on the inner cap of pre-1970 Jotters. The box includes the original Parker price tag. The pen measures 13cm.

A Parker senior Big Red Duofold stands out in any collection, but one with an extra fine- to fine-point nib is a rare treat for any vintage pen collection. This streamlined Parker Duofold offers a smooth writing original extra fine/fine nib, Christmas tree/spear ink feed and a nearly museum quality refinement. There's a little brassing at the top and bottom of the cap ring, "S.B. Shuler" is engraved on the barrel and there's a teeny little nick to the top of the black streamlined cap topper. Those are the only "flaws." No cracks or chips or teeth marks. The filling mechanism has been fully restored. The Parker Lucky Curve imprint is weak but clear. 14 cm. capped.

Vintage Pens: 0130 Parker VS
Era: 1940-1949
Price: $89.99
0130: : Parker: VS

The Parker VS stands for "Victory Series." These often overlooked vintage pens were part of Parker's post-World War II sales and marketing efforts. In order to guarantee that they had high-quality affordable pens available for returning G.I.s, Parker resurrected its button-fill technology and packaged it with sleek new styling. Thus, soldiers and sailors didn't have to spend a fortune on a more expensive Parker Vacumatic or Parker 51. Fully restored, we are not sure this pen was ever inked outside of a dip test to see how smoothly the fine-point nib writes. (Very smoothly) The inkfeed is crystal clear. This Parker VS has minor surface wear and an imprint from 1947. The blind cap closes flush to the body. 13.9 cm capped.

Feast your eyes on the rare wavy-lined 14K gold-fill cap on this Parker 51 from 1944. As vintage pens go, this one's a pip. The black plastic vacumatic plunger assembly has been fully restored with a new diaphragm. The blind cap closes flush with the dark blue barrel of the pen. There is a little scuff on the blind cap, but it isn't bad. The cap is in nearly mint condition with a tightly secured blue diamond clip, and the pen's body only has light surface wear. The 14K nib writes a very smooth fine-medium line despite looking as if it might be a little bent. This Parker 51 is engraved with "P.B. McKeever". It also features a two-tone clutch ring. 13.8 cm capped.

Double your pen-collecting pleasure with this silver-capped black Parker 51 pen and pencil set from 1944! The vintage pen has been fully restored with a new diaphragm; the pencil is inopperable as far as we can tell. Each vintage writing instrument is engraved "George S. Flaherty." The 14K nib writes a smooth medium to medium-broad line. The Vacumatic pump is clear yellow plastic. The blind cap closes flush. There is surface wear from daily use, and the imprint is feint. The sterling silver cap on the Parker 51 has had its dents treated, but there is still a little surface wear. The blue diamond clip is on tight and doesn't spin. 13.8 cm capped.

Looks are deceiving sometimes, as this vintage Parker 51 actually has uniform color when you look at it in person. In the photo, the deep blue barrel looks darker than the hood and blind cap, but in person we can't detect any difference. This vintage pen has been fully restored with a new diaphragm. The plunger appears to have been a clear plastic, now slightly yellowed. The sterling silver Parker 51 cap has likewise been restored with all of the significant dents removed. The golden blue diamond clip is on tight. This Parker 51 appears not to have any imprint or date code. Light surface wear is present, and the blind cap is a little out of alignment. The 14K nib writes a smooth medium line. The clutch ring is of the two-tone variety. 13.8cm capped.

Want a fine sample of the Parker 51, this one is sterling. Well, at least the cap is sterling silver. It's also a good writer with a wet, smooth medium line. The diaphragm has been replaced and the vintage pen is fully restored. Cosmetically this old fountain pen is great except for the little scar visible in the photo on the hood, a little scuff on the blind tail cap and the fact that the blind cap no longer seems to want to align flush with the body. The silver cap shows a little wear, but the dents and dings have been pushed out and restored. There is a thin line circling the cap where it meets the bottom of the golden blue diamond Parker clip, but the clip is now tightly secured. 13.8 cm capped.

Not to be confused with Navy Grey, this Dove Grey Parker 51 is fully restored with a new diaphragm. The body has some light surface wear and still looks great. The vac filler features a yellow-plastic plunger. 13.8 cm capped.

Set your eyes upon one of the most beautiful Parker 51s we've ever offered. The remarkable cordova brown (slightly darker on the hood) body is in excellent condition. It sports a two-tone clutch ring and has a 16k gold-fill cap. That cap is topped off with a rare "amber" jewel. The strong imprint marks this as a model from 1948. The only blemish on the cap is so tiny, it must glint just right off the light. Otherwise it is imperceptible. The vacuum filler is restored, and the 14k nib writes a fine line. 14 cm capped.

Straight from 1947 is this black Parker 51 with a 16k gold-fill cap. The cap only has one minor ding to the right of the blue-diamond pocket clip. However, there are several deep scratches in the barrel near the fully restored vacuum filler that can be seen in the primary picture above. There also is a chip in the middle of the barrel, as seen in the secondary photo. There are no leaks, just blemishes. The 14k nib is rather "stiff" and writes a fine-medium line. 14 cm capped.

Our favorite of this pocket of Parker 51s, is this blue one with a 16k gold-fill cap. It features a strong imprint and 1943 date code. The body has some chips and scratches around the clutch ring that are big enough to be seen in the photo above. Also the fully restored vacuum filler has a cryptic "10-4-51" scratched into it. The nib lays down a smooth fine to fine-medium line. 14 cm capped.

Brace yourself for this gorgeous lapis blue Parker Lady Duofold set from 1929! The fountain pen has been fully restored and sports its original "Christmas Tree" ink feed. The 14k nib, as you can see in the photo, is a little pinched at the base. It reads "Parker Duofold Pen C". It smoothly writes a luscious wet medium line. The lapis blue of the pen's cap and barrel are darkened, but not nearly as badly as many of the other Duofolds we've seen. There is remarkably little wear on this 81-year-old fountain pen. The pencil is in even more pristine condition. It is still loaded with a lead that extends and retracts. What remains of the eraser is still under the gold cap. The capped fountain pen measures 11.9 cm; the pencil measures 12 cm.

We think this is quite possibly one of the prototypes for the Parker Duofold Jr. desk pen made c. 1925 or '26. We cannot guarantee it, but the aluminum swivel holder is the main clue, as Parker never mass produced it. It is not marked, and it was most likely custom machined. The hard rubber version of it went into production in 1926. The hard-rubber Parker Duofold Jr. desk pen is in great condition. The imprint is practically perfect, except for fading out on the very far right side. The ink feed is a "Christmas Tree." The 14k nib writes a fine-medium line. The tail is in perfect condition, and there is no brassing on its gold ring. The gold button shows no brassing. The pen base has no chips or cracks that we can see. The felt on the bottom was replaced. The pen holder is a chocolatey brown but in good working order. The spring underneath it still pushes back. This pen has been fully restored and works wonderfully. The pen measures 19cm, and the base measures 15cm X 9cm X 2cm.

An excellent example of the early Parker 51 with an aeromatic filler. The best features of this pen is the gold-fill cap with pinstripes forming peaks beneath the jewel. The pen works great with its original filling mechanism. The only problem is strictly cosmetic with a little chrome flaking off the filler, as shown in the second photo. The 14K nib writes a fine line. 12.5cm.
