Vintage Pens: 5038: Esterbrook: Dollar Pen
Esterbrook Dollar Pens are the popular springboard for the iconic Esterbrook J-model pens that ruled the 1950s. These classic pens from the 1940s are great basic lever fillers with interchangeable nibs that easily unscrew. We restored this vintage pen with a new ink sac. It has no cracks or deep scratches. It comes with an early 1555 Gregg nib that writes a nice extra-fine line with a little feedback. Also included is an Esterbrook Dollar Pencil. A little darker than the fountain pen, it is in good working order. It also is an early click model that sports a 1.1mm lead. There are no spare leads or eraser. The pen measures 12.1cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 5031 Sheaffer Lifetime Balance
Filling Mechanism: Lever Filler
Era: 1920-1929   Fountain Pen Nib Size: XF
Price: $249.99
Vintage Pens: 5031: Sheaffer: Lifetime Balance
Sheaffer shook-up its line-up in the late 1920s with the dynamic torpedo stylings of its Sheaffer Lifetime Balance pens and pencils. These modern beauties were ready for the art deco era. We restored this vintage pen with a new ink sac. Its black-radite cap and barrel show a fair degree of light wear, but there are no cracks or brassing. You write a nice extra-fine line with its original 14k gold Lifetime nib with a flat-comb feed. Making a complete set is the oversized Sheaffer Lifetime Balance pencil. Nearly 100 years old, it still works great. Advance and retract the 1.1mm lead with a twist of the tail cap. Although it works great, it has way more wear than the pen. You'll find bite marks and some deep scratches on the pencil. Pen measures 14.1cm capped.

Vintage Pens: 4911 Parker Duofold
Filling Mechanism: Button Filler
Era: 1920-1929   Fountain Pen Nib Size: XF
Price: $499.99
Vintage Pens: 4911: Parker: Duofold
The Big Red. It is actually orange, but that doesn't distract at all from its jazz age glory. Our fully restored Parker Duofold Senior set features a vintage pen with a new ink sac and a working pencil. This is a later model set with a permanite cap and barrel. No cracks and minimal wear mar the surface of these classic Parkers. The imprints are crisp, but there's a little chocolate hazing on the hard rubber end caps of the pen. Easily spotted is brassing on the ball of the pocket clips and a little around the edge's of the pen's cap band. You will write an extra-fine line with a bit of feedback from the original 14k gold nib. It has a replacement or early 1930s inkfeed with lines that run across it, instead of the Lucky Curve Christmas Tree design. The pencil includes a couple of spare 1.1mm leads.
Vintage Pens: 4909 Sheaffer Balance Set
Filling Mechanism: Lever Filler
Era: 1930-1939   Fountain Pen Nib Size: XF
Price: $299.99
Vintage Pens: 4909: Sheaffer: Balance Set
Grey striations really pop on this oversized Sheaffer Balance Lifetime Set. The vintage pen is fully restored with a new ink sac, and it is in excellent cosmetic condition. No cracks. No deep scratches. Minimal brassing only on the lever. Light wear on the clip and pen. Nice deep imprints. You'll write a smooth, extra-fine line with its 14k gold nib. Click the headline to better see that this is an earlier Lifetime nib with no serial number. Earlier feed, too! Its matching oversized pencil works great, but it does sport more wear and brassing on the clip band. The lead advances and retracts its 1.1mm lead easily, but we can't pull the tail cap off the pencil. As the leads feed through the nose cone, you can write with the pencil and refill it easily.

Vintage Pens: 4902: Parker: 51
For many fountain pen aficionados the Parker 51 represents perfection. By the time this Parker 51 came along in the 1950s, the pens were virtually leak proof, took forever to dry out, wrote reliably and well, and were very easy to fill with their aerometric fillers. Dip the nib in ink, squeeze the filler 4 times and you are likely ready to write for a week or more. This pen maintains its original pli-glass ink sac in great working order. You will write a very nice extra-fine line with its 14k gold nib. It does have a hint of feedback, which is normal on a vintage extra fine. Though well cared for over the years, it was a daily user and has some wear on the hood. There's a little corrosion on the clip band and clip. None of it will prevent this pen from being your reliable, go-to vintage daily driver. 13.6cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 4899 Parker Vacumatic
Filling Mechanism: Vacuum Filler
Era: 1940-1949   Fountain Pen Nib Size: XF
Price: $249.99
Vintage Pens: 4899: Parker: Vacumatic
Parker got creative with some of its Vacumatic variants over the years. This is the rarer Parker Vacumatic Long Major. It is the same width as a Major at the length of a Maxima. Our vintage pen was exquisitely restored. It has a fresh diaphragm and the cap and barrel are without blemishes. A crisp imprint shows a 1942 date code. As you can see in the photo, the barrel clarity is excellent with some ambering. Even the nib still has most of its two-tone plating. You will write a firm, extra-fine line with its 14k gold nib. There is a little feedback with the nib, and we think you might have to break it in a bit to get it consistently flowing. Although you could make it a daily writer, cosmetically, it is good enough for a museum. 13.1cm capped.
