Vintage Pens: 4707: Sheaffer: Lifetime Desk Pen
Perhaps you are all about that base but lack the proper desk pen. Hopefully, we can help with this Sheaffer Lifetime fountain pen from the late 1920s or early 1930s. We restored it with a new ink sac. Click the headline to see close-ups. If the focus on the pen looks a little soft, that is actually just how the pen looks. It has a lot of light wear that seems to have effected its luster. We really like the two-tone 14k gold nib's look. It writes a dry, extra-fine line with a little feedback. 20.6cm with taper.
Vintage Pens: 4655 Esterbrook Transition
Filling Mechanism: Lever Filler
Era: 1940-1949   Fountain Pen Nib Size: XF
Price: $79.99
Vintage Pens: 4655: Esterbrook: Transition
Let summer linger with the fresh mint green of this Esterbrook Transition pen. Dancing in the light, it is a color you can't help but love. We restored it with a new ink sac. The "Transition" means that the pen was sold by Esterbrook this way with a Dollar Pen barrel and J-model cap to use up the last of the Dollar Pen parts. The cap is great with a 3-line black-plastic jewel. No cracks and light wear. Its J-pressure bar appears to be loose inside the pen and yet still works well. You will write a firm extra-fine line with a little feedback using its upgraded 9550 nib. If you want to dive deeper into Esterbrook, it made about 3 dozen different interchangeable nibs that screw in and out. As such one pen can have 36 different point sizes. Click the headline for close-ups. 12.4cm capped.

Filling Mechanism: TouchDown
Era: 1950-1959   Fountain Pen Nib Size: XF
Price: $59.99
Vintage Pens: 0445: Sheaffer: Saratoga
It is not quite football season, but you can score a big TouchDown with our Sheaffer Saratoga. We restored this classic TouchDown filling pen from the early, early 1950s with a new ink sac and O-ring. We love the simple pneumatic filling system. The pen has some wear from extensive use. There are no cracks, and it is ready for a new life with you. Its two-tone 14k gold nib writes an extra-fine line with a tiny bit of feedback. Good daily writer, if you are careful with the pocket clip that is a little askew. 13.5cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 4583 LeBoeuf Greg Norman
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present   Fountain Pen Nib Size: XF
Price: $199.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 4583: LeBoeuf: Greg Norman
You're gonna need a bigger pen case. That's right "The Shark" Greg Norman has his own limited edition LeBoeuf fountain pen. Ours is numbered 0672. This is the modern revival of the classic LeBoeuf pen company that first invented the celluloid pen. The PGA champion's autograph is on the black cap of this otherwise gold plated pen sporting an alternating design of plain stripes and a barley pattern. At the top of the cap appears to be an opal, perhaps a nod to his Aussie roots. Its two-tone 18k gold nib writes a smooth extra-fine line. Click the headline for a close-up. You can fill it with its included screw-in standard international converter or like cartridges. 14cm capped.

Vintage Pens: 4517 Parker Oversize Vacumatic
Filling Mechanism: Vacuum Filler
Era: 1940-1949   Fountain Pen Nib Size: XF
Price: $899.99
Vintage Pens: 4517: Parker: Oversize Vacumatic
Perfection is difficult to achieve in vintage pens, but this 1940 Oversize Parker Vacumatic gets close. No cracks, only light wear and incredible barrel clarity with celluloid that is on the light orange-dark yellow spectrum. No brassing. A feint barrel imprint. Close to perfect two-tone plating for the 14k gold nib. (Click the headline for a close-up.) YET, as you can see on the main photo, the name "James A. Kunkel" is engraved on the barrel. We looked up the name, and there are too many James Kunkels to know who owned this specific pen. You'll write an extra-fine line that is a bit dry but can sometimes look fine. Restored and in great working order. Museum worthy rare burgundy...yet, still a good writer. 13.5cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 4527 Parker Vacumatic Set
Filling Mechanism: Vacuum Filler
Era: 1930-1939   Fountain Pen Nib Size: XF
Price: $699.99
Vintage Pens: 4527: Parker: Vacumatic Set
In 1936, Fred & Ginger lit up the silver screen in the classic "Swingtime," King Edward VIII abdicated the British throne to marry an American divorcé, television broadcasts first began, Jesse Owens showed up the Nazis in Berlin, Joe DiMaggio was a rookie, FDR won a second term and this Parker Vacumatic standard set in burgundy was made. It was an elegant era, and this pen in many respects marks the pinnacle of art deco design. This particular set is in excellent condition. No cracks, maybe 1% brassing, no scratches, restored and working. Its two-tone 14k has some cosmetic issues. Click the headline to see close-ups. It writes an extra-fine line with a little flex but not much. The matching pencil works great in excellent condition and comes with spare 1.1mm leads. Pen measures 12.8cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 4503 Esterbrook M2 Set
Filling Mechanism: Aerometric Filler
Era: 1950-1959   Fountain Pen Nib Size: XF
Price: $49.99
Vintage Pens: 4503: Esterbrook: M2 Set
Esterbrook picked up the popular aerometric filling system started by Parker in the 1950s. Our Esterbrook M2 is new old stock from 1958. It is a red pen-and-pencil set, and the pen still has its pricing sticker. Unfortunately, these caps have an unfortunate habit of splitting. The fountain pen has a 3/4-inch split from the lip just to the left of the clip. The rest of the pen is in mint condition with a working ink sac. Instructions on the filler say it fills in three squeezes. Its steel 1555 Gregg nib writes a surprisingly smooth extra fine line. Its matching pencil is likewise in mint condition without a split in the cap. Twist the tail cap to advance and retract its .9mm lead. Pen measures 13.5cm capped.
