Fountain Pens with Nib Size: O

More rarities are on display with this Esterbrook Dollar Pen. Please note the three incised cap bands. Add on the rare 1314 left-foot oblique nib, and you have an interesting classic Estie. No cracks or deep scratches. The only cosmetic issue, other than light wear from use, is the pitting on the lever filler. We restored this pen with a new ink sac. The oblique nib on this one is very sharp and scratchy. Yet, it delivers nice line variation for a trade off. Click the headline for close-ups. 12.1cm capped.

We don't know what you'll like more, the fact that this is a very nice Esterbrook Dollar Pen or that it comes with a less common 1314 Durachrome Relief nib! Click the headline for close-ups. We restored this vintage pen with a new ink sac. There's a little wear but nothing too bad. No cracks, but there is a teeny-tiny chip in the cap lip. The oblique nib is smooth and writes with nice line variation for a fine-point style oblique. This is an earlier rendition of the 1314, too! 12.1cm capped.

However, we don't notice any oblique action in the nib. It mostly feels like a lightly scratchy fine point. Overall, this Pelikan Souveran M400 is in excellent condition with only minor wear from use. No cracks or significant scratches. Its piston filler moves smoothly. It is a little bit older than it looks. You can see the top jewel logo etched in green: a mama pelican with two chicks. 12.5cm capped.
