Vintage Pens: 3051: Sheaffer: TM
In 1948 Sheaffer released a new filling system called the TouchDown. It was a pneumatic system that used air pressure to empty and a fill the pen. In 1949 they altered it to be a thinner model called the TM. It was only made through 1951, with the Snorkel arriving in 1952. Our Sheaffer TM has been fully restored with a new ink sac and O-ring. There is some wear from use, but there are no cracks or deep scratches. It has a strong imprint. The nib is a two-tone 14k gold that writes a very nice, firm fine-medium line. 13.5cm capped.

Vintage Pens: 1248: Sheaffer: TM-Triumph
All engravings aside, this rare Sheaffer Touchdown TM Triumph has been one of our favorite finds of late. It looks like it did when it left the store more than 60 years ago. We replaced the ink sac and O-ring. The clip is on tight. There is no wear on the gold-filled pen. It is engraved on the barrel with the name of "Louis Schaaf." The cap is engraved "10 Years / Tension Env Corp". The two-tone conical Triumph nib is 14k gold and writes a firm fine line. Click the headline font to see a close up. A small patch of gold shines through the palladium plate on the bottom tine of the photo. 13.5cm capped.
