Vintage Pens: 3163: Sheaffer: Triumph
What's that up there? Is an arch?! Is it an MG?! NO! It's a Sheaffer Triumph! Made for only 4 years, Sheaffer TouchDown-filling pens were a remarkable leap forward in filling technology. This pneumatic filling system paved the way for the Sheaffer Snorkel. However, these Sheaffer Triumph pens are far easier to maintain than a Snorkel. Our Sheaffer Triumph has been restored with a new ink sac and O-ring. A gold-filled model, you will find very few traces of wear. No serious dents, dings, engravings or deep scratches. It has a little wear. It isn't mint. Still it is a great pen with an original 14k gold nib that writes a firm medium line with a hint of feedback. Very clean ink viewer window. 13.5cm capped.

TouchDown-filling vintage pens, such as this Sheaffer Sentinel, are among the hottest selling pens on our site these days. We just can't keep them in stock. It likely has something to do with the amazingly inventive filling system and affordability. This model comes complete with a working ink sac and O-ring. The ink-view window is remarkably clear. There's some light-to-moderate wear on the barrel and cap, but there are no cracks and it is in great working order. Sheaffer considered this a "TM" or "Thin Model." It has a two-tone 14k gold nib that writes an extra-fine line with a little feedback. 13.4cm capped.
