Fountain Pens with Nib Size: Stub

Sailor seems to be one of the few modern fountain pen brands to be actively promoting its alternative nibs. This Sailor 1911 comes with a delightful 14k gold "MS" nib. That stands for "music nib" It is a juicy writer that has some line variation. It is smooth, too. Minimal wear can be seen on this yellow-and-black beauty. Sailor makes 1911s in multiple sizes. The Edison Pen Co. started the same year that we did, and it is strange to see their pens come around again on the secondhand stage. They can't be that old! Nevertheless, here is a very handsome Edison Pen Co Huron Grande in a stunning autumnal color they call Sonoran Sunset. That little golden ball on the cap is a "roll stopper." Ours comes with a two-tone steel nib that is 1.1mm wide. You'll find it is a generally smooth nib with some line variation. Minimal wear on the cap and barrel. Includes a standard international converter. It is a huge pen measuring 16.5cm capped.

All mysteries are revealed with a good demonstrator pen. This Sailor 1911 leaves little to the imagination. It is really fun to write with and fill. The fact that it has an M-S ("music") nib made of 14k gold could make this your very favorite preowned pen. In truth, we find this nib to be buttery smooth, but it writes more like a double broad. Its thick tipping does not give it a ton of line variation. Our luxury pen has minimal wear and there are only a couple traces of blue ink trapped in the inner cap. 13.5cm capped.

The futuristic design of the pen is based on the concept of an Egyptian reed stylus made of modern carbographite. You fill the pen with a piston. It writes with a stunning 1.3mm stub nib made of 14k gold. Also included are its original box and a handsome coffee table back by designer and film director Pier Luigi Pizzi as he looks back on that golden age. The photos are lush and classic.
