Vintage Pens: Sheaffer Imperial
Vintage Pens: 1961 Sheaffer Imperial
Sheaffer had a big hit on their hands with the inlaid nibs they created in the late 1950s. Sheaffer Imperial fountain pens came out in the 1960s and were considered more of an entry-level pen on the company catalog. We have fully restored this pens TouchDown filling system with a fresh sac and new O-ring. Cosmetically, there are a few scratches and points of wear, but it is decent for a daily user. The 14k gold nib writes smoothly with an odd combination of firm and flex! The "/" from bottom upward can be dry and thin, but the curves of ascenders and descenders are juicy broad. 13.6cm capped.
