He was the one who laid the foundations for the royal art collection in the Louvre palace in Paris. Renaissance patterns adorn the clip and the gold-coated rings. Ayrton Senna (3/21/60-5/1/94) won the Formula One World Drivers Championship in 1988, 1990 & 1991. He was regarded as One of the greatest Formula One drivers of all time. He died in an accident while leading the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix in Italy. In his honor, there were 161 of these gold fountain pens produced, and you can own #008 of the collection. The nib is 18k gold medium. Never inked. The pen's body is crafted with tire tread marks down the base while the top cap has Senna’s Logo and a tire. Cartridge/converter filling system. This comes in its original box, along with its certificate of authenticity. It also has a beautiful display case based on a formula one car. Note, the red cleaning cloth is not in the box. Also, there is a very small ding in the base of the pen. The pen is still beautiful and looks amazing displayed in its case.
