Vintage Pens: Waterman C/F
Vintage Pens: 0511 Waterman C/F
Waterman heralded the disposable cartridge era of fountain pens with its Waterman C/F (Cartridge/Fill) in the 1950s. Although cartridges were first introduced into pens back in the 1910s with glass and clay cartridges, neither was practical. The Waterman C/F used plastic. We include an original 1950s plastic cartridge in this pen! You can refill it using a syringe. We strongly doubt modern cartridges or converters will fit in this pen. The 14k gold nib writes a nice fine line with some feedback. The pen is pretty beat-up looking. Most of the original gold plating is worn off. Heavy scratching and wear covers all of the plastic surfaces. Basically, this is a good user-grade model with which to experiment and expand your vintage pen collection.
