Vintage Pens: 1085 Parker Vacumatic
Built in the 3rd quarter of 1943, our Parker Vacumatic Major in golden pearl likely has incredible stories to tell. Did it ship out overseas? Did it stay in the the U.S. writing beautiful love letters to someone far from home? Maybe it was put into service on the homefront? We've restored it to great working order with a new diaphragm. Good barrel clarity graces this pen. Unfortunately, there are too long scratches down the side of the barrel and a little rash on the back of the cap, as if it were rubbed for a second on the sidewalk. It isn't a big blemish, only about an inch long and a 1/4-inch wide, but it is there. No cracks! Good barrel imprint. Click the headline to see the 14k gold nib. The tip looks just a shade off, but it writes a very nice, wet fine line. The clip's arrowhead is just a shade off the side of the cap. 12.7cm capped.
