Vintage Pens: Parker 51
Vintage Pens: 3363 Parker 51
Behold the exceedingly rare Parker 51 in PLUM (purple). It was only made between 1948 and '49 when Parker altered their pens from vacumatic fillers to aerometric fillers. This color was quickly discontinued, while all of the other new colors were kept for as long as the pen was in production until 1972! Our incredible vintage pen has a 1949 date code and looks as if it was never filled! The pli-glass ink sac is perfectly clear. We filled it for two squeezes of clear water and only a little blue ink came out from what likely was a dip. The pen has light wear, which is more prevalent on the Lustraloy cap than hood and barrel. The original 14k gold nib writes a very nice medium line with a little feedback. Comes with a box. 13.5cm capped.
