Vintage Pens: Esterbrook J-9556
Vintage Pens: 3403 Esterbrook J-9556
Requested by more schools than any other pen of the 1950s, Esterbrook was ideal for Baby Boomers how to write with an ink pen. It was also ideal for teaching stenographers, secretaries and journalists shorthand! Colorful, affordable and easily customized...what's not to love?! Our Esterbrook J model fountain pen was the largest size offered by the company. We love its copper color. You won't find a crack on the pen, which we restored with a new ink sac. In fact, you'll barely find any trace of wear. The imprint is strong, and the end jewels are complete. It comes with an upgraded steel 9556 nib. Originally advertised for "fine writing," we find it writes a firm, fine line. Of course, the best part about Esterbrook pens is that all the nibs unscrew for easy, customizable replacements! 12.6cm capped.
