Vintage Pens: Esterbrook SJ-2668
Vintage Pens: 3851 Esterbrook SJ-2668
Fountain Pen Nib Size: M
Esterbrooks can be a great gateway drug into vintage pens. Probably the most popularly sold pen of the 1950s, they have great colors, easy to use lever fillers and very easily interchangeable nibs. That's right. The nibs unscrew like a Pelikan nib. There are about 3 dozen replacement options. We restored this Esterbrook SJ (Short J model) with a new ink sac. It has a steel 2668 nib. Click the headline for a photo. We find that it writes a surprisingly smooth medium line, considering it is a little tweaked. No cracks, a strong imprint, minimal wear and a tight pocket clip. 12cm capped.
