Fountain Pen Nib Size: Stub
Holy cats! A factory stub nib on a Parker Vacumatic Maxima! This sure isn't something we see all that often. Click the headline for close-ups. It is fully restored with a working diaphragm. Oh, but that nib! This 14k gold wonder is buttery smooth while delivering nice line variation. You'll find its cap and barrel are great, too. No cracks or blemishes. It appears it was wet-sanded to a high-gloss shine. Unfortunately, it took away most of the pen's imprint. The "1" on the nib indicates that at least the nib was made in 1941. Inside the pen, the celluloid is darkly ambered. Flaws be damned, this is one of the best writing Maximas we've ever seen, but we love vintage pens with stub nibs. 13cm capped.
