All Pens and Ephemera

We aren't really sure how old this delicate little inkwell is. It holds roughly 10mL of ink and was likely from the era of dip pens. Some sort of water corrosion has gotten under the glass topper of the lid and obscured parts of the picture of a building secured within it. The gold plating around the lid structure is mostly gone, but the glass remains in good condition. A nice little curio for thems that likes 'em.

A unique marriage is the hallmark of this Eversharp Doric pencil. Clearly the clicker's cap is a mismatch, but it is an unusual one. We believe it is the clicker from an Eversharp Pacemaker or Air-Lite. The pencil works well and sports a 1.1mm lead that advances easily. There is light wear from use on the pencil. Under the clicker cap is a hardened eraser. 13cm.

Nearly mint parts for French Safety Fillers don't come around every day. We have an incomplete pen with this Gold Starry No. 257. There is the cap, barrel, inner part and a tail piece that is not closed on either end. No nib or feed or other missing parts. Sold as is, no returns.

Nearly identical to its brother, the Montblanc 146, the Montblanc 147 Traveler is virtually the same in design and size. However, unlike a 146, this pen is a cartridge-only filler. The 146 only fills with a piston. Our Montblanc 147 only fills with cartridges on that little converter. You can see the cartridge carriage is removed from the barrel to showcase how it works. You will write a nice medium line with its two-tone 14k gold nib! Minimal wear and it still has a sticker showcasing that the nib is a medium point. Conklin broke their own mold by releasing the stunning Endura line of pens and pencils in the mid-1920s. Our Conklin Endura is an early variant, as it is made of orange hard rubber with a woodgrain design. There is some wear from us and brassing on the cap band and trim. We restored this pen with a new ink sac. No cracks. You will write a juicy broad line with its 14k gold nib. A fun user for any vintage pen fan. 12.2cm capped.

Blue-and-orange "Saffron" designs in the Omas Paragon never get old. We love the rich, almost granite-like quality of the celluloid's patterns. Our pre-owned luxury pen is in good working order with no cracks or deep scratches. Only a little wear from use. The piston is a little stiff but works well. You will find the 18k gold nib is marked medium and writes more of a drier fine line. We thinks it needs some breaking in from use. It sat unused for too long and needs a little TLC. A 1997 imprint is in the barrel, just behind the section. 14cm capped.

We don't get many Onoto de la Rue pens on this site. This old black hard rubber pen is a bit of a mystery. We think this vintage pen has an early version of the plunger vacuum filler...similar to what Sheaffer began using in its Vac-fil technology. Our pen is unrestored and not working to fill the pen. No cracks nor deep scratches. Lots of wear from use. The pin strips on the cap and barrel are mostly gone. The two decorative bands on this pen are solid 18k gold. We dipped the 14k gold nib and found it just barely counts as a semi-flex nib working from extra fine to about broad. Don't smush the slip cap on too hard because you will break the slightly too long nib. Click the headline for close-ups. 14.5cm capped.
