Vintage Pens: 2905 LeBoeuf #8
Filling Mechanism: Sleeve Filler)
Era: 1930-1939
Price: $1,750.00
Vintage Pens: 2905: LeBoeuf: #8
Among the most sought vintage pens are oversized LeBoeuf pens...such as this one. Although there is some speculation about LeBoeuf being the first company to successfully create fountain pens using celluloid tubing (not rod stock), there is no denying the stunning beauty of their early efforts! Fully restored with a new ink sac and all of its original parts, this is a sleeve filler. The back half of the barrel slides back to reveal what Parker fans might think of as an aerometric squeeze filler. Its pearl-and-black design is in amazingly good condition with a few spots of discoloration you see in the photo. (Click headline for close-ups.) No cracks! A little clip brassing. There is a deep scratch around the tail and a wear mark where the lip of the cap rests against the barrel. Otherwise, only light wear. The large size 8, 14k gold nib writes a medium line with a slightly flattened tip that gives it some line variation! Technically, it even has a tiny bit of flex. 13.4cm capped.

Pre-Owned Pens: 2530: Curtis: Streamlined
Australia's pre-eminent luxury pen maker is here! Our Curtis Streamlined looks stunning with its red marbled cap and barrel and sterling silver trim. The red celluloid looks like the shimmering layers of a freshly licked lollipop. There's a nice width to the pen that isn't oversized but wide enough to help prevent cramping from long writing sessions. There are only light traces of wear that can only be seen on very close inspection. The Parker-style ballpoint refill works, extending and retracting with a twist of the tail cap. 13.6cm.

Vintage Pens: : Michel Perchin: Ribbed Blue & Rhodium
You are looking at a gorgeous, never been used, Michel Perchin Blue & Rhodium fountain pen. The pattern utilized on this pen is guilloche. Guilloche is a machined engraved pattern applied to metal to enhance the beauty of the surface, similar to facets on a diamond. After the .925 sterling silver is guilloched to the pattern, a translucent cobalt blue enamel is applied by hand in ten separate steps.

The outer portions of the crown and leaves are cast by jewelers in .925 sterling silver and coated with five microns of 22 karat gold. The inner parts are cast, guilloched, enameled, and polished.

The Michel Perchin Blue & Rhodium style was limited to a production of only 250 pens. This pen is engraved #8 of 250. The pen has never been used. I have several other photos that I can email to you if interested. This site does not allow large high detail photos. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
