Vintage Pens: 5885: Parker: Vacumatic
Get in a festive mood with an emerald pearl Parker Vacumatic Maxima fountain pen. We restored this vintage pen with a new diaphragm. It is a beautiful writing instrument with no cracks or deep scratches. There are a few faded bite marks on the blind cap. The double-jeweled cap end are also emerald green stripes like the cap and barrel. No brassing on the gold filled trim. The two-toned 14k gold nib is excellent with most of its original platinum plating. You will write a smooth extra-fine to fine line. The celluloid's see-through barrel is ambered, but you can still see through it a little. 13.4cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 5883 Parker Vacumatic
Filling Mechanism: Vacuum Filler
Era: 1930-1939   Fountain Pen Nib Size: XF
Price: $199.99
Vintage Pens: 5883: Parker: Vacumatic
Click the headlines for close-ups. You are going to want to see this one as closely as you can. A stunning emerald pearl celluloid still has decent clarity on this Parker Vacumatic. We believe it is called the Slender model, before they were named Debutantes. It has a crisp 1936 date code. Double jewels that are the same as the emerald pearl celluloid. We restored this vintage pen with a new diaphragm. It works well, but we had to shave a little off the aluminum lockdown filler to prevent it from getting stuck inside the pen. No cracks blemish this pen, but it does have a teeny little chip in the lip of the cap. Some signs of wear where the clip dug into the cap and light wear from use. It looks museum quality at a glance but a close inspection might keep it out of a museum. You will write a smooth extra-fine line with its still two-tone 14k gold nib. 12.1cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 5880 Monte Verde Rollerball
Filling Mechanism: Rollerball
Era: 1980-present
Price: $25.00
Pre-Owned Pens: 5880: Monte Verde: Rollerball
The blue-and-pearl white cap on this Monteverde rollerball pen is quite handsome. We don't know the model name for this pen, but a rose by any other name.... It fills with standard rollerball refills or Pilot G2 gel refills. It comes with a working black rollerball refill. The pen has a little light wear from use, but it still makes for an attractive stocking stuffer. 14cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 5879 Esterbrook Dollar Pen
Filling Mechanism: Lever Filler   Fountain Pen Nib Size: F
Price: $99.99
Vintage Pens: 5879: Esterbrook: Dollar Pen
Among the more sought after features on Esterbrook Dollar Pens are the incised cap bands, such as the ones seen on this copper-colored model. We restored this vintage pen with a new ink sac and are happy to say it is free of cracks. However, that does not mean it is free of cosmetic flaws. Click the headline for a close-up. There's a little divot that you can see is missing from the tail end. Plus, there is general wear all over the cap and barrel. Its chrome parts lack their original luster and we couldn't get them to buff back up to a good shine. One of the highlights is this pen's upgraded 2668 nib, which writes a very smooth fine line. 12.1cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 5861 Visconti Divina
Filling Mechanism: Rollerball
Era: 1980-present
Price: $179.99  Was: $199.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 5861: Visconti: Divina
Even slightly broken pens need a loving home. You can see that ugly crack in the cap of this Visconti Divina rollerball pen. Sadly, this is an all too common problem on these pens. The good news is that the everything still works great. The cap still locks onto the barrel. The pen still feels great in your hand. Better yet, these pens not only take standard rollerball refills, they take Pilot G2 gel refills! This one comes loaded with a black G2. You access the refill by using the pocket clip to unscrew the steel "jewel" in the tail of the pen. Comes with its original box and papers. 14.9cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 5860 Waterman Carene Deluxe
Filling Mechanism: Rollerball
Era: 1980-present
Price: $179.99  Was: $199.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 5860: Waterman: Carene Deluxe
Moxie the cat is helping to model this handsome Waterman Carene Deluxe rollerball pen. It has a bronze barrel and vermeil cap. In this case, vermeil is a silver plated cap that has been plated over in gold. It is one of the less common Carene models. There are no dents or long, deep scratches. There are a few very short shallow scratches and other marks of light wear. Happily enough, these preowned luxury pens take regular Waterman rollerball refills AND Pilot G2 gel refills. This one sports a blue G2! There is just enough weight in the pen to really make it write smoothly with some gentle momentum. These are among our favorite rollerball pens. Click the headline for close-ups. Meowy Christmas. 14.5cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 5876 Parker Vacumatic
Filling Mechanism: Vacuum Filler
Era: 1930-1939   Fountain Pen Nib Size: XF
Price: $199.99
Vintage Pens: 5876: Parker: Vacumatic
It is difficult, in this day and age, to imagine a time when wealthy, sophisticated young ladies were brought on to the more genteel dating scene as debutantes. Nevertheless, it wasn't that long ago. This Parker Vacumatic Debutante set was made in 1938 and intended for young women of class and culture. Fully restored with a new diaphragm the fountain pen is in good working order. There are no cracks, and its grey pearl design is lovely with nickel trim. The barrel has ambered and is difficult to see through. We think this is a replacement filler unit, as it is plastic instead of aluminum. The nib is a little tarnished, but we also think it still has a shadow of its two-tone look. You will write a nice extra-fine line with a touch of feedback. We can polish it for you, but that will guarantee it is a monotone 14k gold nib. The matching pencil still works and clicks to advance lead. 11.7cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 5853 Parker 100
Filling Mechanism: Rollerball
Era: 1980-present
Price: $225.00  Was: $249.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 5853: Parker: 100
Building off the nostalgia for the Parker 51, the company launched what they hoped would be a more modern version of the pen in the Parker 100. This set included both the rollerball and ballpoint version of the pens in the original box. To be honest, it is quite possible they were never sold as a set in the box when they first came out, but that is how we found and are selling them. Each instrument looks great and works well. There's a little scuffing from the cap snapping to the section of the rollerball. Otherwise, they are still cosmetically beautiful. Each has its respective working, black refill.
