6015 Esterbrook Dollar Pen Filling Mechanism:
Lever FillerEra:
1940-1949 Fountain Pen Nib Size:
FPrice:
$75.00In the 1940s, if you needed a cheap, reliable pen that was easily customized, you got yourself an Esterbrook Dollar Pen. We restored this black model with a new ink sac and new 1555 Gregg Shorthand nib. There are no cracks or deep scratches, but the early plastic cap on this pen has warped a bit. It can be difficult to get the cap on and off. You will write a nice fine line with its steel nib. There is a little feedback, but we wouldn't call this a scratchy pen...not compared to other Esterbrooks with the same nib. Click the headline for close-ups. 12.1cm capped.

6121 Wahl-Eversharp Symphony Filling Mechanism:
Lever FillerEra:
1950-1959 Fountain Pen Nib Size:
FPrice:
$99.99SOLD!Leading the way with a space-age design is this second-year Eversharp Symphony fountain pen with a Loewy cap design. The legendary industrial designer Raymond Loewy created the original cap design for the first year pen. This second-year pen's cap shows a couple of minor alterations. Nevertheless, it still looks stunningly sharp. Eversharp also knew this pen as model 705. We restored this vintage pen with a new ink sac. You'll see some light wear from use on its gold-filled cap. The barrel shows a bit heavier wear. However, you will love the smooth, fine-point 14k gold nib! It is a pretty dreamy writer. 14.1cm capped.

5792 Parker Duofold Filling Mechanism:
Button FillerEra:
1930-1939 Fountain Pen Nib Size:
FPrice:
$199.99Streamlining gave the Parker Duofold a fancy edge in the late 1920s. These red-marble celluloid models were even hotter. We just restored this one with a new ink sac. We also got the topper to the cap much darker, as it had substantially more chocolate hazing than it does now. Heavy brassing on the ball of the pocket clip and on the bottom cap band. No cracks, but there is a wear mark around the barrel where the cap posted. You will write a firm, fine line with its 14k gold nib. Click the headline for close-ups. The pen isn't junior sized...nor is it oversized. 12cm capped.

6056 Pelikan Souveran M800 Filling Mechanism:
Piston FillerEra:
1980-present Fountain Pen Nib Size:
FPrice:
$399.99If we lived in a world in which one could only have one fountain pen, the Pelikan Souveran M800 would be the one for us. Well built, always reliable, holds a ton of ink, large but not oversized. Perfect. Our preowned luxury pen is a great daily driver and it looks great with only a little light wear from use. This one sports the two-tone 18kt gold nib. It is marked fine point, but it writes closer to a medium, as most German pens do. We tuned this one a bit, and it is mostly smooth. You might find that it squeaks a little as it writes. 14.1cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens:
6067 Krone Boulder Thunderbird Filling Mechanism:
Piston FillerEra:
1980-present Fountain Pen Nib Size:
FPrice:
$249.99SOLD!It is possible that we've never seen a more handsome marbled pen than this Krone Boulder Thunderbird. The red cap and barrel has brilliant red flashes and gorgeous grey veins that are more remarkable than any photo can show. No cracks and only minor wear. The cap ring and pocket clip are silver plated. You fill the pen with a piston knob under the blind cap. Its 18k gold nib writes a wet medium line with a little feedback. The nib imprint says it is an F for fine, but it doesn't write like that. Comes with its original box. Click the headline for close-ups. 13.7cm capped.

6011 Sheaffer TouchDown Filling Mechanism:
TouchDownEra:
1950-1959 Fountain Pen Nib Size:
FPrice:
$125.00The Sheaffer Snorkel enthusiast in us wants to call this a Sheaffer Valiant, but sometimes the earlier Sheaffer TouchDown pens are different from the later snorks. We restored this elegant vintage pen with a new ink sac and O-ring. No cracks mar its surfaces, but there are a couple little nicks that the gleaming black helps hide. You will write a very nice fine line with its firm "Triumph" nib made of two-tone 14k gold. Class up your daily work routine with this classic pen.

5996 Parker 51 Set Filling Mechanism:
Aerometric FillerEra:
1950-1959 Fountain Pen Nib Size:
FPrice:
$199.99SOLD!Imagine sitting in storage since 1950. That is exactly what this New Old Stock Parker 51 pen-and-pencil set has done! Complete with its original box and stickers, this vintage pen shows no sign of use. Its pliglass ink sac is spotlessly clean. A black hood and barrel with a "50" date code in the imprint, gleam, and the lustraloy cap is dent free. The nib is made of 14k gold. The sticker on the pen indicates it has a fine point. We did not dip it to try, given the pen shows no other trace of use. The pencil seems to have come from a later date given it is a shiny steel and sports a black jewel. Still, it is stickered and seemingly unused. Its twist-advance mechanism uses a 9mm lead.
Pre-Owned Pens:
5979 Waterman Carene Filling Mechanism:
Cartridge/ConverterEra:
1980-present Fountain Pen Nib Size:
FPrice:
$99.99SOLD!One of the advantages of a luxury pen by Waterman is its brass-barrel construction. Way more rugged than the "precious resin" of a Montblanc, the still-elegant Waterman Carene can remain true under a lot more stress and pressure. Click the headline for close-ups and see a couple of chips in the finish of the "amber-shimmer" lacquer coating. There also might be some seepage around the nib. In spite of these issues, this pen is ready for plenty more writing. You will write a nice fine line with its 18k gold nib. Included is a standard international converter. 14.5cm capped.
