5077 Sheaffer 41 Autograph Filling Mechanism:
Lever FillerEra:
1920-1929 Fountain Pen Nib Size:
FPrice:
$649.99You can't get much closer to perfection on the hard rubber cap and barrel on a rare Sheaffer 41 Autograph model pen than this. Its chasing and imprint are as crisp as the day it was made. Zero chocolate hazing. Its 41 imprint in the flat tail has orange paint or chalk in it, which apparently isn't original. Not a trace of brassing on its extra-wide gold-plated cap band, clip and lever. The ONLY flaw is the teeniest, tiniest little dimple a 25% turn to the left of the clip in the center of the cap band. That's it, and you'll miss it if you don't specifically look for it. Our vintage pen is fully restored with a new ink sac. It has a replacement 14k gold Lifetime nib without the serial number AND an original spear-point inkfeed. You will write a fine line with a little feedback, but we don't think most people will be making such a beautiful specimen a frequent writer. It is an impressive vintage pen, especially in this condition. Click the headline for close-ups. 13.5cm capped.

4935 Pelikan Souverän M250 Demonstrator Filling Mechanism:
Piston FillerEra:
1980-present Fountain Pen Nib Size:
FPrice:
$199.99Demonstrator pens are so much fun, as we love watching all of the internal parts of the pen operate. You'll have a good time with this modern classic Pelikan Souverän M250 Demonstrator. We've tried cleaning out all of its old red ink, but inks are especially stubborn in demonstrator pen. Nevertheless, this pen is in great working order and comes complete with its original leather pouch and box! No cracks and only light wear on the pen. You will notice what they say about German nibs is true. It is marked fine, but it writes closer to medium with a little feedback. Click the headline for a close-up. The logo on the cap is black with a golden mama pelican and two chicks. 12.4cm capped.

4921 Pelikan Level Filling Mechanism:
_OtherEra:
1980-present Fountain Pen Nib Size:
FPrice:
$75.00Pelikan Level fountain pens created the first new filling system in fountain pens in decades. We don't even know the name of the filling system. The concept was that the tail of the pen locked into a specially made inkwell, then you filled the pen. Unfortunately, we don't have the special inkwell that this pen needs. However, we do have the matching .5mm pencil. The pencil works well. The pen's steel nib writes a fine line with some feedback. Neither writing instrument has very much wear, just a little. However, there are some deep scratches on the section grip of the pen. Click the headline for close-ups.
Vintage Pens:
4910 Sheaffer Balance Lifetime Filling Mechanism:
Lever FillerEra:
1930-1939 Fountain Pen Nib Size:
FPrice:
$399.99Sheaffer Lifetime Balance pens are among our favorite vintage pens. We restored this pen with a new ink sac. This pen is fantastic. It has great color, maybe only 15% discoloration or so. No cracks. It has some light wear that was polished out, but you can still see a ring around the tail where the cap posted. There's a little brassing on the ball of the clip. Engraved on the side of the pen barrel is "Geo H Barnhart." You will write a smooth, fine line with its 14k two-tone gold nib. The matching pencil has a little more wear, but it has a complicated work habit. The pencil works when you work the mechanism by hand with the tail cap removed. Yet, the tail cap doesn't seem to grip tight enough to advance and retract the 1.1mm lead. At the same time, the cap holds tightly enough to keep from falling off. Spare leads are under the hardened eraser.

$99.99Did you miss out on the orange Lamy AL-Star when it came out a couple years ago? Don't miss your opportunity to get one that looks like new. Our fountain pen model comes with its original box and papers. It uses Lamy proprietary cartridges and converters but comes with neither. Our preowned pen looks like new except for a little wear on the steel fine point nib. Click the headline for a close-up. 13.8cm capped.

4520 Parker Vacumatic Filling Mechanism:
Vacuum FillerEra:
1940-1949 Fountain Pen Nib Size:
FPrice:
$499.99The larger Parker Vacumatic Maxima fountain pens are a difficult find these days. However, we are proud to showcase a very handsome golden pearl model from 1941. Our vintage pen has been fully restored with a new diaphragm. It is in excellent condition with no cracks or brassing. There is minimal wear. Its only flaw seems to be that the barrel is ambered. You can still see through it when empty, but the celluloid is fairly dark. Click the headline to see its beautiful two-tone 14k gold nib. You will write a firm, wet, fine line. The firmness gives it feedback, but it isn't scratchy for those who appreciate the nuance of a smooth nib with feedback. 13.6cm capped.

4533 Parker VP Filling Mechanism:
Aerometric FillerEra:
1960-1979 Fountain Pen Nib Size:
FPrice:
$299.99Parker VP pens heralded many great innovations in their short production run. Without these pens, the Parker 75 would never have been the mega hit it became. Our favorite innovation is the adjustable nib. You can carefully pinch the nib and turn it to the left or right to better suit how your hand grips its ergonomic section. Click the headline for close-ups of the pen and nib. Our vintage pen is in good working order. It comes with an original aerometric filler with the see-though window. Many of these are broken in other pens, but our's is still intact! There are no cracks in the cap or barrel, just some light to moderate wear from use. The only dent is under the arrow clip. Its 14k gold nib writes a fine line with a little feedback. 13.7cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens:
4750 Parker Sonnet Filling Mechanism:
Cartridge/ConverterEra:
1980-present Fountain Pen Nib Size:
FPrice:
$249.99Parker first released its super famous Sonnet pen line in 1994. Among the first colors were two beautiful Chinese lacquers. This is one such first-run Parker Sonnet in the design pattern of "Chinese Laque Vision Foncé." It is an exquisite pen much like a Japanese urushi design in black with amber-sparkle highlights. Click the headline for a close up of its two-tone 18k gold nib. Its inkfeed is marked M for medium, but we think it writes like a fine with a little feedback. Included with the pen is a Parker converter. You also can use Parker cartridges. 13.3cm capped.
