Our vintage pencil has its original chalk marks, even if it has a little light wear from where it was stored over the years. The .9mm lead is a little over extended in the photo just to get the chalk mark to line-up for the photography. Our pencil is in perfect working order. Under the tail cap is a perfect but hardened blue eraser, and under it are spare leads. 12.8cm.

Price: $59.99
Vintage Pens: 4707: Sheaffer: Lifetime Desk Pen
Perhaps you are all about that base but lack the proper desk pen. Hopefully, we can help with this Sheaffer Lifetime fountain pen from the late 1920s or early 1930s. We restored it with a new ink sac. Click the headline to see close-ups. If the focus on the pen looks a little soft, that is actually just how the pen looks. It has a lot of light wear that seems to have effected its luster. We really like the two-tone 14k gold nib's look. It writes a dry, extra-fine line with a little feedback. 20.6cm with taper.
Vintage Pens: 1075 Sheaffer Crest
Filling Mechanism: Snorkel
Era: 1950-1959   Fountain Pen Nib Size: M
Price: $149.99
Vintage Pens: 1075: Sheaffer: Crest
Sheaffer Crest fountain pens are easily identified by their gold-filled caps on normal Sheaffer Snorkel pens. This vintage pen sports a nice pastel green barrel. We have fully restored it with a new ink sac, O-ring and snorkel gasket. The snorkel itself is a rare 14k gold tube, which means this is a first-year pen from 1952. Just wait until you write with it. Its two-tone 14k gold nib writes a super-smooth, medium line. There's only a little wear an light scratching on the body. The cap is free of scratches and dents, except directly under the clip, which is a little off kilter. We fixed an earlier seepage problem, and now it is dry as a bone when resting full of ink. An amazing pen and writer. 14cm capped.

Aesthetically, the jade green is spectacular with a little light brown discoloration at the ends of the pen. Click the headline for a beautiful shot of its 14k gold 46 Special nib. It writes a very smooth fine line, but some people who like Japanese nibs might think it is closer to medium. The pen and taper only have light wear. Its onyx base is chip-free. There are a couple light scuffs on the black trumpet. The pen is a tad loose in the trumpet, but it is a nice looking set together. Click the headline for close-ups. International shipping might cost extra due to the size and weight of the desk base. Pen measures 18.7cm.
Pencil: 0566 Sheaffer 400
Filling Mechanism: Pencil
Era: 1930-1939
Price: $49.99
Pencil: 0566: Sheaffer: 400
Vintage pencils make math and crossword puzzles way more fun. Take this Sheaffer 400 pencil for example. It is an early devotee of the .9mm lead. You advance and retract it with a simple twist of the tail cap. It has some wear from use, but most of us do after 80 years. The worst of it is a few little scratches in the nose cone, which you can see in the photo. The carmine red pattern is one of the rarer color schemes from this era. The clip is on tightly. It no longer has its eraser, but it comes with a spare lead. 13.3cm.
