Vintage Pens: 3700: Wahl-Eversharp: Personal Point
Eversharp made a stunner of a pen in the 1930s with its Personal Point line of pens. Focusing on nib customization, these pens originally had nibs that screwed in and out...10 years ahead of the more famous Esterbrook pens and Pelikan pens of today. Dozens of nib sizes and characteristics were available. This standard-size pen has a later model Skyline nib retrofit into the pen. YET, it is still a right-handed OBLIQUE STUB! It is a very small stub width, but it is still nice. We find it writes smoothly, if you're right-handed, with subtle line variation from XF to .5mm wide. No cracks mar the pen, but the cap is definitely darker than the barrel. Still, with that nib, it is a great bargain. Fully restored. 12cm capped.

Vintage Pens: 3697: Wahl-Eversharp: Personal Point Set
Before Pelikan. Before Esterbrook. Wahl-Eversharp created the first set of interchangeable nibs for a single pen. The Wahl-Eversharp Personal Point pen offered at least 14 different nib sizes. Unlike Esterbrook, these screw-in nibs were only intended for dealers to change so that they didn't have to carry dozens of different model pens with each of the different nib sizes at the height of the Great Depression. Imagine how a 1930s' Wahl-Eversharp executive's head would explode in our era of custom pen rediscovery. Our vintage pen is fully restored with a new ink sac. It comes with a "Manifold" 14k gold nib, which means it is firm to write through carbon paper. It writes a wet. medium-broad line with a hint of feedback. The pencil advances and retracts 1.1mm lead smoothly. Minimal wear, no cracks. Incredible pearl & black color with only minimal discoloration. Pen measures 13.3cm capped.

Vintage Pens: 3440: Wahl-Eversharp: Doric
Among the legendary pens of the hobby's golden era is the Wahl-Eversharp Doric. Our vintage pen is an oversized number that has been fully restored with a new ink sac. It has some light wear, but it is in great condition overall. No cracks, brassing or krazing. It has a strong Eversharp imprint on the cap. The inkfeed is curiously marked "M" and has hand etched "D4001." The large 14k gold nib might be an Executive Skyline replacement. HOWEVER, it has FLEX. The nib goes from extra fine to about 1mm. It isn't a true wet noodle, but it is a little more flexi than a semi-flex. Expect a little drag or feedback but not a ton. 14.1cm.
Vintage Pens: 3433 Wahl-Eversharp Deco Band

Era: 1920-1929
Price: $550.00
Vintage Pens: 3433: Wahl-Eversharp: Deco Band
Oversized pens such as this vintage Wahl-Eversharp Gold Seal Decoband, but when you add in a flexi "Signature" nib, it becomes irresistible. Be the envy of your pen club with this woodgrain, red-hard-rubber giant. Restored with a new ink sac, our vintage pen is a stunner whose cap and barrel crack and major blemish free. Click the headline to see a close-up of the nib. On the bottom-right side of the nib, where it goes into the section, you'll see an odd dent in 14k gold, but it doesn't seem to effect the writing. You'll write with a little feedback, as you flex the nib from fine to roughly 1.5mm wide. There's a deep scratch on the inkfeed under the nib, but nobody spends much time staring at the inkfeed. The lever has a little brassing. Some of the woodgrain black is a little discolored on the cap. Overall, the pen is in great shape. 13.6cm capped.

Ours is restored with a new ink sac. The pen is New Old Stock with a price sticker still on it. The pen has a couple spot pieces of tiny light wear, but there are no cracks, scratches or other significant flaws. Click the headline for a closer look at both the pen and the nib. Its 14k gold nib writes a nice, juicy broad line. The sticker says it is a flexible fine nib...but it wrote a juicy broad line for us. 14cm capped.

Filling Mechanism: Lever Filler
Era: 1950-1959
Price: $75.00
Vintage Pens: 3156: Wahl-Eversharp: 5th Avenue
On the avenue...5th Avenue. It feels a little "Easter Parade-y" up in this description box today with our Eversharp 5th Avenue fountain pen. Fully restored, this was really one of the last major pen designs by Eversharp. It borrows heavily from the immensely popular hooded nib of the Parker 51. This vintage pen has light-to-moderate wear but no cracks or deep scratches. It is a slip-cap pen. The 14k gold nib writes a fine-medium line with a little required pressure. The lever is off 90-degrees from the top of the nib. 13cm capped.
