Filling Mechanism: Lever Filler
Era: 1940-1949
Price: $175.00
Vintage Pens: 3385: Wahl-Eversharp: Symphony
The space age meets the golden age of vintage pens with our Eversharp Symphony with a "Lowey Cap." These rarer models of the Symphony are really oustanding and harder to find. Ours is restored with a new ink sac. The pen is New Old Stock with a price sticker still on it. The pen has a couple spot pieces of tiny light wear, but there are no cracks, scratches or other significant flaws. Click the headline for a closer look at both the pen and the nib. Its 14k gold nib writes a nice, juicy broad line. The sticker says it is a flexible fine nib...but it wrote a juicy broad line for us. 14cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 3366 Wahl-Eversharp Signature Ringtop
Filling Mechanism: Lever Filler
Era: 1930-1939
Price: $125.00
Vintage Pens: 3366: Wahl-Eversharp: Signature Ringtop
"Coral" is one of the rarest colors among vintage pens, and the coral coloring on this Wahl-Eversharp Signature ringtop pen is almost perfect! Our vintage pen has been fully restored with a new ink sac. Although there is some wear from use on the pen, there are no cracks. Only a wee bit of brassing can be found on the cap bands and lever. The biggest flaw is that about an eighth of an inch of the lever is missing. Its original inkfeed and 14k gold nib write a wet fine to double broad line with a little flex. Keep in mind that the tines of the nib can catch a little on curves. Click the headline for a closeup. It is a little more of a specialty nib that you'll need to take a little time to learn. Large for a ringtop. 12.3cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 3376 Wahl-Eversharp Skyline
Filling Mechanism: Lever Filler
Era: 1940-1949
Price: $49.99
Vintage Pens: 3376: Wahl-Eversharp: Skyline
An iconic vintage pen, the Eversharp Skyline represents the 1940s better than most pens. Its art deco, modern design with its aerodynamic styling really stands out. Plus, it was advertised for safer travel by air...a novel concept gaining greater national trust. It has a breather tube inside the pen that is supposed to compensate for changes in air pressure and make less of a mess. It was a good theory that didn't really work out, but it helped sell a lot of pens. Ours is a little beat-up, with a burgundy barrel and striped cap. You can see some dents on the dome in the photo. The barrel has equally large dents. Plus, the cap is missing a cap ring at the base of the cap. We restored it with a new ink sac, and its original 14k gold nib writes a medium line and works better with a heavy-handed writer. We're still trying to adjust the nib so that it writes with better flow for normal fountain pen writing. 13.3cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 3210 Wahl-Eversharp Skyline
Filling Mechanism: Lever Filler
Era: 1940-1949
Price: $99.99
Vintage Pens: 3210: Wahl-Eversharp: Skyline
The sky's the limit with our Eversharp Skyline fountain pen. Advertised as ideal for air travel, the pen came with a breather tube inside its sac to help the pen adjust for changes of air pressure at different altitudes. Unfortunately, it wasn't very effective, but it still makes for a very handsome and aerodynamic looking vintage pen. Ours has been refurbished with a new ink sac. It is actually a very dark maroon/burgundy barrel. The cap has green stripes and an unusually wide cap band. No cracks; a trace of brassing on the lever filler. Its nib writes a nice, smooth medium line. 13.2cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 3157 Wahl-Eversharp Skyline
Filling Mechanism: Lever Filler
Era: 1940-1949
Price: $99.99
Vintage Pens: 3157: Wahl-Eversharp: Skyline
Looking for the vintage pen with a little bit something extra? Check out the rare wide band on our Eversharp Skyline. This pen is beautiful, too, in its deep dark blue and red-and-green striped cap. No brassing, no cracks. Its only major flaw is the name "John B Maljan" written on the side of the barrel. You can see it on the bottom of the pen in the photo. It really doesn't diminish from the incredible smooth medium nib with which you write. It is a nice 14k gold nib. This vintage pen has been restored with a new ink sac. 13.5cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 3156 Wahl-Eversharp 5th Avenue
Filling Mechanism: Lever Filler
Era: 1950-1959
Price: $75.00
Vintage Pens: 3156: Wahl-Eversharp: 5th Avenue
On the avenue...5th Avenue. It feels a little "Easter Parade-y" up in this description box today with our Eversharp 5th Avenue fountain pen. Fully restored, this was really one of the last major pen designs by Eversharp. It borrows heavily from the immensely popular hooded nib of the Parker 51. This vintage pen has light-to-moderate wear but no cracks or deep scratches. It is a slip-cap pen. The 14k gold nib writes a fine-medium line with a little required pressure. The lever is off 90-degrees from the top of the nib. 13cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 3150 Wahl-Eversharp Gold Seal
Filling Mechanism: Lever Filler
Era: 1920-1929
Price: $399.99
Vintage Pens: 3150: Wahl-Eversharp: Gold Seal
Stunning is our favorite way to describe the still perfect green on this Wahl-Eversharp Gold Seal fountain pen from the late 1920s or early 1930s. Fully restored with a new ink sac, it is the senior/oversized model. Discoloration is obvious on this pen, and we show the worst of it in the photo so there are no surprises. No cracks mar the surface of this vintage pen. You can find some brassing on the Greek key design of the cap band and other pieces of trim. Click the headline to see a great close-up of the 14k gold manifold nib. It writes a firm, smooth medium line. 13.1cm capped.
