Vintage Pens: 0551: Wahl-Eversharp: Skyline
Not only were the Eversharp Skyline fountain pens revolutionary, so were the pencils. Revolutionary because it was Eversharp that invented the click pencil that we take for granted today! Made of a deep burgundy barrel and 14k gold-filled other half, this vintage pencil is unique in that it doesn't have a metal nose cone! It is in great working order. Remove the tail clicker button to reveal where the 1.1mm lead refills go. It has the name "R.A. Staffenson" engraved on the burgundy barrel, but there isn't a lot of other noticeable wear. No dents, cracks or deep scratches. The eraser is petrified. 13.2cm.

Vintage Pens: 0557: Wahl-Eversharp: Click Pencil
Today we take click pencil for granted. Yet, somebody had to invent them. That company would be Eversharp! This Chicago-based company was famous for pencils before teaming up with Wahl. This dashing navy-blue pencil with golden trim is a very early click pencil, made after the two companies joined up, even though "Eversharp" is the only company listed on the clip. It still works! Click the brass tail button and a 1.1mm lead advances. Pull out the brass tail button to reveal a petrified eraser. Under that you will find a fresh spare lead or two. It has some light wear from use, but on the clip seems a bit aged and worn. 13.3cm.

Vintage Pens: : Wahl-Eversharp: Skyline
This pen is black with a 24k gold tip. The body has some wear and the pen does work. I'm not sure what age the pen is. The pen was in a box with other items found in an antique store.
