Pre-Owned Pens: 4053: Conklin: Nozak
The venerable Conklin brand was rebooted with the rebirth of the world's love of the fountain pen. In the early days of the reboot, models were named after the original models of the pens from the 1920s and '30s. This modern Conklin Nozak looks gorgeous with its blue-pebble look in stunning acrylic. Oversized and textured, it is very attractive in one's hand or on one's desk. Only the edges of the clip and cap band show any wear. Its steel nib writes a surprisingly pleasant medium line. You can refill the pen with standard international cartridges or a converter, but, unfortunately, it has no converter at the moment. 14.8cm capped.

Vintage Pens: 3388: Parker: 61 MK III Flighter
Even the great Parker 61 saw a couple of updates in its run. The MK III Flighter was the all brushed steel version of the pen with a cartridge-converter fill system...unlike the original capillary filler. This pen comes with its original converter, but it should be able to take a modern Parker converter, too. It definitely will take modern Parker cartridges. The pen has a little wear from use. You'll write a medium line with the 14k gold nib that has a little feedback. 13.5cm capped.

Acrylic tiger-eye and grey swirls make for a captivating design on this Romet fountain pen. We had never previously heard of the brand, but it is a handsome devil. It is in excellent condition with minimal wear. It sports a international converter, and it also uses like cartridges. Its two-tone steel nib is marked as medium but it writes more of a fine line for us with a little feedback and sharp cross-strokes, like on a "T." 13.7cm.

Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1950-1959   Fountain Pen Nib Size: F
Price: $199.99
Vintage Pens: 3963: Sheaffer: Lady Skripsert
We need the glamour of the 1950s more than ever, and our Sheaffer Lady Skripsert pen in Brocade Silver with Brilliants is a great way to light the way. Suitable for a princess, we offer this classic vintage pen complete with its original box. The box is marked "Xmas 1959 from Kelly" on the back in beautiful cursive writing. The cap of the pen is nearly perfect except for a mark on the very top where it might have been dropped. The barrel has a couple black spots and wear on the tip of the back end. All of the "brilliants" are accounted for, but one is much darker than the others. Its 14k gold nib is marked F9, and it writes a very firm, thick fine line with a bit of feedback. These pens used a slimmer version of the Sheaffer cartridge that is no longer in production today. However, the pen comes with a used cartridge that you can refill with a syringe. 13.6cm capped.

Pre-Owned Pens: 3961: Parker: Duofold Centennial
Lighting is challenging when trying to capture fluidity of the pearlescense of the cap and barrel, but we think we nailed it. Click the headline for a close-up that really captures the beauty of this more oversized modern Parker Duofold Centennial fountain pen. Aside from a thin line of scuffing around the main cap band, this pen looks barely used. Fans of the pearl and black models know that some lean more white and others lean a shade more yellow. This preowned luxury pen is the latter. It comes complete with its gray-felt-covered box and larger cardboard outer box. The felt box is in mint condition, but it looks as if the outer box was damaged by humidity. You'll write a nice medium line with the two-tone 18k gold nib. The pen's date code is for 1993, and there's a chrysanthemum/spiralgraph design on the cap's top metal plate. 13.6cm capped.

Minimal wear blemishes any part of the pen. We gave it just enough of a dip to see that it writes a fine, dry line with its steel nib that has a hint of feedback. 13.5cm capped.
